As far the weight, the curb weight of the C63 is about 3814lbs and that is per Mercedes AMG official site .

Thats without gas and without driver. Add another 108 for a full tank and another 180 for the driver. You were also filming so add another 180 for you. 4280lb's in the C63.

How do you figure? Have you seen ANY of the mildly to heavily modified E55 dyno graphs, 1/4 mile figures and standing mile figures? The C63 doesn't stand a chance mod for mod. A heavily modded C63 will still lose to a similarly modded or more heavily modded 55, this is proven.
There is a higher ceiling for 55s than 63s, DadsC63 is one example. He's doing amazing things w/the 63 engine and it's still not close to a heavily modded 55 w/out adding a 200 shot of NOS.
And again, I prefer the 63 engine overall, don't get me wrong.

You also state that mod for mod the C63 doesn't stand a chance. Have you ever raced a modified C63?
The only performance mods we have available are L/T headers, tune, air box(no gains), some lighter weight brake rotors and some lighter body parts. Thats about it.
With the mods I currently have on just N/A it will run low 11's and thats with all bolt ons. No cams, or other additions the E55 can have. When the C63 gets heads and cams it will defintely take on the E55 in any category. Then you add a 125 shot of nitrous and its game over on the street. The weak point of the C63 is the tranny and until that gets researched and fixed running high 10's in the 1/4 mile will be all we can get and that will be N/A.
Running an E55 from 60 up will be a good run. I have to say after running a very fast E55 before my weight reductions and either staying even or winning will make runs with my current mods PLUS cams interesting.
The C63 on the street from 60 up is fast just on motor.

I like the E55 myself but the potential of the C63 has just begun and we are still in the learning stages. I would have to say that getting where we are with the little time we've had leaves room to surpass the E55 with more research and modifications. Only time will tell.

You make note of a mildly or heavily modifed E55 60-130 or mile run numbers?? What are they??

Does anyone ever even think about anything other than straight line acceleration? This is a great DRIVERS car with an overall experience that is just incredible. I just spent the last two days at a DE weekend feasting on P cars and an M3 buffet. I did meet my match with a C5 Z06 fully race prepped. No matter how much gap I got in the straights he caught me in the curves and waved goodbye.

Not in a 4 door C class.

Power Adders
===========
- 180 mm pulley
- Long Tube Headers with race cats
- RENNtech 82 mm TB
- RENNtech Airbox
- 91 octane custom tune
Weight Savers
===========
- Light weight 16" rims with light-weight hoosiers DR
- Light weight battery
- Light weight skinnies in the front
- Light weight evosport rotors
As you guys can see, it is still very impressive for a car as big and as heavy as the E55 to run high 10s with a few simple bolt-ons and then drive off the track and go pick up some groceries

Don't mean to argue here but I'd like to add just a small note/correction here: the E55 1/4 mile record (belonging to bassn_07) of 10.77 @ 135 mph was ran with bolt-ons and weight reduction only.... meaning no cams, no heads, etc.... The car now has more mods but at the time that record was run, these were the mods on the car (as far as I remember):

Bassn_07 has done a remarkable job with his ride and should be congratulated. Great job!!
