I can hardly believe this thread is still even alive. Dude...that's not an AMG Black Series prototype. It's just not.
This is a much better rendering and one I would buy...

It seems to be true...
World Car Fans always checks their sources so I would say the info is legit.

they must be testing the suspension/drivetrain and just slapped on those impromptu fender flares for the testing. I bet the final product will look way better.

BB is the same bundesland (state) as Affalterbach but on the exact opposite end of it...

The Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen has BB. Sindelfingen is right next to the town Boblingen (BB license plate)

Another thing I don't get is what Porsche does. They release 4 new top-shelf models at the last 2 years of production of their present 911 - the Speedster, GT2 RS, GTS, and Turbo S.
Didn't know that. Thanks So now we know it's an official AMG project.

Put it this way, a base price C63 in Germany starts at 70 thousand euro which would be around 100 thousand U.S. dollars.

In the US it will be around the same price as the CLK63 BS was in 2007, around $140K. Since it will be competing with the Porsche GT3 RS for the same market, which is also around that price, it makes sense. If it goes in production, we'll see it first as a Formula 1 Safety Car. Hopefully it will be sold here in the states, if we're lucky with the 6.3 out of the SLS, but most likely with a TT V8 power plant. Personally, I'd prefer the naturally aspirated engine.

To get rid of all the extra 997 parts they have laying around the factory. Well, that's what my dealer told me.

AMG & RR
For those of you going to the AMG preview night for the L.A. Auto Show. Just please ask them if a C63 BS is underway? They'll gladly tell you Yes or No as they did about the SLS BS when I asked last year.
I'm sure some of you guys from here have been invited, just do us all a favor and ask.
Thanks!

[quote=KEMA;4349833]A few more pics has emerged. I agree this looks a bit aftermarket but can someone explain why an enthusiast would go with CLK BS front wheels and E63 rears? Buying these two sets would probably set you back more than a pair of HRE's.
Very easy to explain....this is an accident car from an auction bought by a body shop.....
look at the ripples in the roof and the bonding on the side.....
It looks like this car was smacked pretty hard on the drivers side rear and probably smoked the wheels too
They are probably putting on a body kit with fender entensions to hide all the bodywork and cheese to fix it

The thing you are pointing looks more like a simple "cable" to me.
Running from the roof antenna to the inside.
Way too much coincidence for a custom work ( plates , brakes , wheels and so on... ).
The only thing thats bugs me , BS are supposed to be 2-doors supercars only. Maybe they are testing the saloon BS but will produce the Coupe only.

Ummmm... no. lol
The buckle and bonding you see is really a cable coming out near the antenna and going inside the car.
Sheeshh.. the things people come up with...

Cables taped to the body running outside the car....pop riveted mud flaps....

2005 320 4Matic
I'd have to imagine that the sheet metal on there is either to track airflow, or to provide a mounting point for the body kit, no?

Believe it's just a quick fix to cover the tires sticking out due to the wider axles. It definitely has to be wider axles, because you can see the wheels bolted right to the hub. No spacers, and I don't think stock w212 E63 wheels would stick out that far on a stock C63

Im sorry if you thought this was the final design...
They wont be leaving the laptop and the laptop mounts above the glove compartment either in the final design.
