Advises for C63 on snow
Let's be real, this is a 4000lb sedan, not a 3000lb 2 dr. coupe with 3" of ground clearance and 35 series tires.

I just ordered 2 rear tires 255/35/18

Just got of the phone with tirerack, Alex was very friendly and explained some info to me.
He said the blizzaks are out in my size, and he would not recommend blizzaks (kind of funny from tirerack)
Anyway, he recommended Dunlops 265 in the back 235 in the front with stock rim. He said that they are pretty good in the snow and ice, and do not sacrifice too much of the dry handling.
Can anyone comment on this?
I am now debating between the perrelis and the dunlops
And i am out of NY so it only really snows couple of time a year, i can always take gf's g37x (i know i know her car not mine
)BTW Dunlop 3d Winter sport
Thanks

PS. My rear set of Lm25 ran out last winter so i was gonna get some Lm60 which is the replacement for LM25. However apparently after reading some reviews LM60 doesn't seem to be very good. End up getting some Hankook ICE Bear W300. Just put these tires on yesterday and on dry road they behave very nicely
However, now that I've driven the C63 in the snow again for the last 2 weeks, I have to admit it truly is tiring to see the ESP triangle blinking NON-STOP...

Canada, eh?

By the way, how did you go about painting the stock 18's? Powder? 'D.I.Y' spray paint?

I just drove my C63 today with 4inches of snow and ice, and a 30 deg incline (ie my street and driveway), and am so glad I bought my 4x4 Chevy Silverado (with new hankook winters).
the esp is on all the time (very hard on the brakes btw), and i even drive with esp sport to give me more control. yes, you can "get away with it" but please don't kid yourself and believe that this is an above average winter car.

yes......i grew up in canada gre up with rear wheel drive cars. our climate is very erratic here (cause of the lake and escartment). our roads are often not plowed or are plowed late. And no, I don't consider toronto real winter driving. I think the C63 is OK for most toronto winters. Having said that, I have young kids, and my C63 will stay in my garage this winter. I think the majority of us here can afford to get a winter car. Please exercise some common sense. have a safe winter everyone
