Does Your C63 Have TPMS Display

A friend of mine has really cool display on the dashboard that shows his tire pressure's for each tire like the pic below.

He has a 2010 c63.

Does anyone know if the 2009's have this feature or how to get it?

Mine does not have it..

My 09 doesnt have that. All i get is the yellow tire when pressures low. This would be much more helpful

Maybe only the 2010 have it. They need to offer software upgrades so this stuff can be displayed on the 09's... So simple.... It already knows the values...

Australian 2010 models don’t have pressure sensors inside the rim as per the U.S. spec models. Instead they have sensors under the guards that monitor wheel speed variation, which in turn warns the driver of possible pressure loss.

Why does the gauge cluster look different, and only have 160 mph speedo?

It’s not an AMG cluster.

I have ordered some HRE 20" wheels from the US and they are putting TPM in them. Should I ask for normal valves instead? Maybe I should check with Mercedes dealer first.

My 09 does not have this. I'm going to talk to my SA to see if there is a software update that can be done for this. I also noticed when I had the car in for service a few weeks ago that the GLK loaner they gave me remembered what display you had on last and returned to that when you started the car, unlike my C63 which always goes to the odometer screen. I'm hoping a SW update can address both issues.

Contact your MB dealer and that way you’ll have peace of mind.

I ordered 20” HRE’s for MY2010 and asked the same question regarding sensors and was told there were none in the rims of the Aussie Spec model.

I was a bit worried about the accuracy of the info, so I spoke to MB service where I brought the car and they confirmed this and said when I have the new rims fitted, bring the car in and they will reset the sensors.

The reset was easy as per the owner’s manual, I did it myself first then took it into MB service and had them check to see if I’d done it right.

As I said, check with your dealer. I find I always sleep easier if I do my own investigation.

Just spoke with Mercedes dealer and you are correct. The Australian delivered cars have what is called Tyre Pressure Loss System. If a tyre loses pressure the sensor in the ABS system recognizes it as the wheel is moving slower.
Learn something new everyday plus I just saved $349 as I don't need the sensors now.

Would love to get an individual tire pressure display enabled...every warning I've had to date has been a false alarm.

Really? I have a flat tyre (going flat) and the car said to me "Pressure under 30PSI" or something like that, check at the servo and it was like 29psi.

Must be an accurate measure of wheel speed variation?

Very well said!! Our Canadians cars have the same system... no tpms in the rims which saved me couple of hundreds of dollars when I purchased my aftermarket wheels.

Hi Alex, I have no idea how accurate the system is, all I know is that it's linked to the ABS.

The Aspect Ratio on my front tyres is 25%, therefore I check the pressures every week to ensure I don’t do any unnecessary damage to the rims. Mine has never displayed a pressure loss warning (touch wood).

I’m also not a believer in the accuracy of pressure gauges at Servos, they are ok for close enough is good enough but I do prefer to use my own.

Yes you do. It's within another menu. I had it on my '10, and it was very helpful, except for the fact that relatively small variations in psi caused a warning light.

I think its useless. U get a flat tire without a warning light coming to tell u you are losing air or something lol like my car did yesterday.
