M3 vs. C63 - TV Shoot (Texas)

Thanks guys, I'm glad that we can communicate in a civil manner.
Unfortunately I have no say in who goes or not. This is all the Forum Wars people who have a say.
I think most of you guys are pissed about the person selected being labeled as the MBWorld "chosen" "representative". Fine, if you don't like it, perhaps we can ask the Forum Wars to state that he's just "from" MBWorld and that he doesn't represent MBWorld. Or even better, if you'd like to distance yourself more, that he simply "posts" on or is a "member" of MBWorld. How's that?![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
P.S. I'm not taking ownership of the C63 crew! lol, hell no! Even if I buy a C63 BS next year, the C63 crew is a little too crazy...![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)

I agree with the personal atacks and all but not sure you have the full story.. But with that said i lost so much interest In this!
Some one comes on "your forum" lies b/s everyone then picks whoever they want just not cool.. And then there going to use mbworlds name!? Mbworld I thought is made up of all it's members! And none if there voices are or were heard!!!! And you come here and all you can say is relax? That's all!!!

To the mod:
I think we all DO care who "represents" us at the FW, hence the 12 page discussion--and the cherry picking that happened, whether FW admits it or not Dodger has the corespondence.
Frankly, I'm surprised that you don't get why we're so pissed over this snow job.
And aren't "we" the members who make this site exist, the ones who make up MBWorld? Aren't we as a whole the ones who buy from the sponsors, who in turn keep the lights on at MBW?
So if MBW is going to be represented on a TV show, we should have some say in who and what car goes--otherwise, lets just say Trattor is a C63 owner because he's not really representing us--my .02.
And as far as the comments I made or personal attacks as you describe, most were said in jest and good fun to spice up the debate, maybe you're right about people having their panties in a bunch, I would agree, but I think we'd disagree about who those people are!
![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
And a couple other things, you mention for us to limit the personal attacks on one hand and then take a dig at some of the guy's grammar and writing skills--seems two sided, just thought I'd throw that out there, I hope that's okay.
BTW why does our MBW mod have an M5 sig

Hey if you want an equal race, I'll take my BS...it's more evenly matched isn't it ?? The M3 that's going is a 2 door right ? I'll run a full tank of gas and he can run on fumes thats ~120lbs added weight for me and I'll even keep my luggage for the trip in the trunk and let the cameraman ride shotgun so he gets a front row seat of the spanking I issue this kid
LOL

All over forum wars website: it states forum wars Nominated members competing? Maybe instead of the poll we should ask the moderators or whom ever to ask forum wars not to use mbworld at all!! Cause obviously it's misrepresentation since its not really forum wars more like tv show choice wars all I'm asking is for mbworld to step up.. You guys are fast to smack us around for the slightest thing go jump on forum wars for coming into our house lying and trying to b/s us all
And please remember I voted for mthis I rather not be on tv.. But I would do anything to help properly representbthe forum and the platform

But after the S/C M3 dropped out, I can see why they wouldn't want a decently modified C63 going against a, from what I've seen, tune and pulley'd M3. Don't get me wrong, I would've loved to see mthis or dodger go over and spank some ***

If Tator was the only tune-only that stepped up, I feel there's nothing else to say but I wish you luck, brother.

Some what agreed but; my thought is from what it says is equally modded cars... Just cause are car kills m3 mod for mod isn't are fault is it.. Mthis is actually less the drake mod for mod? Header and tune only!? He is/suppose tune Pully and exhaust seems fair to me? Mod for mod no were does it say hp.. I only see power to weight comparisons do the math on that!!! They claim 400-500 pounds lighter... And we have a bit more hp big deal.......
My understanding is that this all stemmed from FW choosing a tune-only C63 to go up against the S/C M3 even though there were other nominations and members that stepped up with more experience and/or better prepped cars. This is where I believe all the "rigged" comments are coming from. ![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

but I'm curious if any other tune-only C63's stepped up that had track experience? If so, why weren't they chosen?

Choose one of these guys and call it done.
The kid can still get a s/c slapped on with his mods this week and then Traitor will really get embarrassed.
So please pick one of these two guys so they can prepare and make the journey--make it right and gain back some credibility

$1,000 tune
$3,000 vinyl wrap
$90 air filter
I wouldn't spend $18,000 on a SuperCharger?? I said I would play fair, I'm playing fair.

I actually respect Dodger, I feel bad because he was the real choice, as was MartinD. He is handling it quite well.

Are you stupid? A supercharger build would take 3+weeks. They have to take apart the whole engine. Re-build it, replace almost every part, and properly test/tune it. I would definitely race Dodger if I had a Supercharged M3, I'd have no problem with that. But no company is giving away $20,000, and they don't have enough time to finish it.

Drake - how do you get certified to be a stunt driver/precision driver? Is it a weekend drivers course, or something more intensive? Either way sounds like a whole lot of fun.
How was your bull run experience? How did you finish?
For a young man you've got some pretty extensive driving experience...... at 19 I was barely qualified to perform 1 wheel burnouts in a clapped out 1969 firebird

SRT-6
I read most of the posts but I admit, not all of them. But I wanted to post anyway. I have a SRT-6, which I think is pretty fast, (AMG 3.2) and I added some power modifications and Pilot Sport Cups and headed to the track. I was slower than a well prepared 150 hp Sentra. One year and some driving schools later, now on street tires, I'm over 3 seconds faster on a track that is less than a mile long. Knowing how to drive to the capabilities of a car is worth more than a 200 hp advantage. (depending on the track) I suspect many don't have a clue how fast you can go in a slow car and how slow you can go in a fast car. That is the heart of the matter. Forum wars is about good television and not fair competition. I've won and lost because of driver error. I've won and lost because of superior equipment. Joe Schmoe in Teleland wouldn't know the difference and that's what's worrisome. Now I'm a winner at the road courses but I still can't get the hang of the 1/4 mile. My real life best is 13 at 109 and on the mustang dyno 1/4 mile 12.2 at 110.6. It just goes to show the difference an experienced pilot makes.
