You don't need to upgrade the tranny until you blow the stocker.....
Newer tranny's can often take way more than the factory specs
I think these guys are in Irvine California

I remember Keith(DadsC63)tallied up the cost of his parts a while back&it was damn near every bit of $20,000..so taken into account the Mercedes tax thats placed on everything in the AMG aftermarket I would think that this S/C would be close to $15k-20k installed&tuned w everything required...thats right around 40k

I have so many questions? I really can't wait to see how they have solved all the issues from the past with a SC on the 63 engine. I also cant wait to see what the cost is?

For comparison, The ESS intercooled M3 kit is around $12,500 which is essentially a universal Vortech V3 blower adapted to fit the M3 engine bay with an aluminum manifold, injectors and other M3 specific adaptors....
They don't run much more than 7 lbs of boost to get around 600 hp SAE

Thank you guys once again for your great interest. The staff at Weistec has had vast experience in aftermarket/oem engineering and calibration. We have successfully completed many projects in the oem market and obtained full vehicles certs and E.O. numbers. To answer some questions, we have performed vigorous tests with the stock engine and transmission under boost. We are also running the factory ECM, no piggyback. Rest assured our Stage 1 kit will give the end user a safe, fun, and ultimately, a 50 state legal supercharger kit. For the customers looking for more performance, we will be offering a few upgrades in different stages, including upgraded engine internals, and transmission parts. Pricing for our kits will be very obtainable as well.
Our official test vehicle is a 2011 C63 (for emissions reasons), although prior testing was also done on a 2009 C63. Our test car is 100% stock, other then our supercharger. This kit is made to bolt up to all AMG 63 platforms. We will have many pictures and much more data very soon.

Sounds promising....Edelbrock has released a similar complete, 50 state legal, intercooled kit for the Corvette/Camaro with fuel pump and injectors for around $7200 all in.
Imagine how many 63 owners would purchase a similar type system if the price came anywhere close to this......

This sounds very cool.
I'm most interested in what transmission upgrades are currently available for our trannys.
If the higher stage kits can come with trans upgrades, what would they be?
I ask because I spoke with an experienced transmission shop that works on our transmissions and he said that he sells rebuilt OEM transmissions but currently he doesn't really know how to make them stronger.
What are your recommendations if you don't mind me asking and how much extra power could these upgraded transmissions handle?
Also, just so people understand the canned tune that would come with this system could not be modified if CARB exemption needed to be maintained for a specific vehicle. Basically, if you bought the system and wanted to up the boost and get the tune adjusted it would no longer be CARB legal.
But, I'm sure most customers would be quite pleased with the canned tune, I. Imagine.
If anyone is considering this blower, you better get in touch with Dad's Performance and pick up one of those vented hoods, because it will really help keep IAT's down... at least that's the theory right now.

I was just thinking how cool it would be to supplement this blower with the Gruppe M or MCD intake and some Renntech airboxes. Then add some MHP LT's. That would be a mean setup.
That would be over 500 rwhp, conservitively. I'm figuring at least 20 rwhp for every psi of boost.

I don't know about everyone else, but if the price and gains are similar or anywhere near that of headers (even the more expensive flavor), if it came to it I'd rather get this as it seems more manageable for a DD. yes? or no? lol
but seeing as how everything is expensive for these cars, probably will end up out of my reach anyway, for now

You guys are dreaming to think this will cost under $10K. As someone posted, an ESS blower for an M is 12K so expect this to be close to $15K.
Maybe I am missing the point but by the time you spend header, blower and misc stuff, for the same money, you could have a second car on the side (GTR comes to mind) and it would still be faster than the C63 with all the mods.
