no more AMG
Great choice. Porsche is one of the only brands I would go to after my C63. They are amazing cars

I know this is an MB forum and all, but many (not all) of the world's finest automobiles are VAG products. To name a few, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi.

My 2c.

My 2c.
First, I was kidding.

Second, the historical/technical connection between VW and Porsche/Audi is a totally different animal than its connection to Bugatti, Bentley and Lambo. One is quasi-genetic and the other contractual.

That is simply glorious, and fully deserving of being the final act in the 997 saga. It's essentially a GT3 with the expected civility of a normal 911.

Congratulations once again.

I love the wider rear fenders. Congrats!
But just a Q which wasn't asked until now - why did you buy a 997 if the new model is about to come out?

1) I loved my 2007 C2S that I gave up for the AMG when our 2nd child arrived
2) There is no certainty the new 991 will be better. I don't like the idea of a longer car; I would shave 4-6 inches and 2-300 lbs off the 997.
3) I never buy 1st year of a new model - too many bugs to work out. So my wait would be 2+ years.
4) With the power kit, the GTS will be near or slightly more hp than the new "S", whatever it's called.
5) Unlikely to offer 2wd/widebody combo or centerlock wheels on 991.

Beautiful car. Look at the detail put into the exhaust tips alone.
Have fun!

I promise I will. For now, all I have is a quick video of a cold start without, and then with, the porsche sport exhaust turned on.

let us know how it compares to the 2011 gt2rs if you get a chance to drive one of those too. i should be picking up a 997 tt some time in the next year, but that's a while down the road.
