Dads Performance Offers Renntech Intake GP

You do not need a Renntech tune in order to run this box.
There's been a good bit of conversation that keep arising from this thread. I think its interesting that a high quality track proven product gets picked at like this. Everyone loved this air box but didn't buy it because of the cost. Now, we get a great deal and all the sudden its not a great air box according the competition??
Give me a break.
Rennetch pioneered the first air box and its been proven to add power. If you want one lets get one.
Back to the original purpose of this thread. Who's in?
One last note. I spoke to Hartmut and he said the front sections will be available within the next couple of months. YEEHAW!!

My Eurocharged tune responded well with this box.

The box works.
The price may be still high for some and that's fine but this price won't
last. For some of us who are trying to squeeze every last drop of power
from the platform this is a no brainer.
And anyone buying this box should definately be on the list for
the front sections.

Given the SL63 engine is less 'de-restricted' than an C63 would it have a similar benefit on an SL63 ?? Might need 2 Keith!
I guess if one was interested in putting a supercharger on Sl63 then this Renntech product would be superfluous?

I got a reply from Renntech:
"You just have to specify in the order that it is for your ML63 and we than make one up with a dummy air chamber with our logo on it"
So if it's not too much hassle, could u please put mine down for fitment to an 07 ML63
and that it's to have a dummy air chamber?

C63 w/p30; MHP ECU tune+header+mids+CF air intake duct+Akrapovic+wide body kit+ Vorsteiner VS110
I am interested in purchasing, but i heard somewhere that C63s in different parts of the world come with different airbox designs and am uncertain whether this part would jsut replicate the stock airbox i already have. Can anyone clarify if the C63 does come with different airboxes, ie US / Europe /RoW?
I guess this might even work better with the GruppeM style intakes?

How about above two questions from Maverick? Both he and I are not in the US so need more attention on the US/Europe/RoW issue!

When we installed this airbox on a CLS63, that did not come equipped with the vacuum chamber, we just left it as is.
Another great thing to note here is that we've had customers with this airbox on there vehicle for over 5+ years and still no yellowing like some of the CF airbox out on the market.
Like I said before, great price Keith! You will Rarely see this airbox sold this cheap.

From what we've noticed, the RENNtech airbox and the european ROW box is still quite different as the RENNtech AB replaces both the top cover and the connecting Y pipe. The European ROW only replaces the the top half of the airbox with the same size cover, but without the charcoal filter bracket and the plastic plate.
When we installed this airbox on a CLS63, that did not come equipped with the vacuum chamber, we just left it as is.

You mean Renntech airbox can fit any type/spec(US, Europe, RoW) of 63 airbox without any problem. Just a simple bolt-on replacement! Am I right?

Keith. I'm in I can't imagine not trying this proven box and the price is great compared to what I've been qouted.. Mir on feb 18th should be an exciting day with a proven airbox!
