Performance Package LSD gear Oil?
Hi Guys, new to this forum. I have a 2009 C63 AMG with the Performance Package. I was wondering about the rear LSD and what Diff Fluid can be used with it.
my initial instince is to refill the diff with castrol saf-xj 75w-140 diff fluid. Is this do-able? Is there something more appropriate that you'd recommend?
Also, one last thing. I have seen 2 little flick / stone guards on the rear bumper / fender of some C63s and some without. They are the 2 pieces where the rear bumper meets the rear fender. Is this an optional extra?
Cheers for the help. This is a great forum!!

Read your owners manual for the type of rear diff fluid that AMG recommends. That why you can be sure your putting in the correct fluid.

Castrol SAF XJ 75W-140 is what the dealer sold me MB part 001-989-52-03-10.
I think the rear wheel well stone guards are European.
You can find them aftermarket if you search around a little. Sorry I don't have a source for you off hand.
