I guess running that low of a psi has a minimal effect on top end speed???

Running low tire pressure will be detrimental at high speeds. Lots of unnecessary grip will be slowing you down.

I don't think they make an 18" that work for us I'd love if they did? I'd try it on the street!

I think they do now.

They list a few 18" sizes on their site for their D.O.T. Drag Radial. The 255/35-18 or 275/35-18 should fit but I would never run those on the street.

I assume your running the 275/40-17 D.O.T.?

I would recommend MT ET Street Radial tires over Hoosier drag radials for the street. Hoosiers have nylon sidewalls which makes it soft and heats up quck on street. That is why it is not recommended for street use. That being said, I have done it before lol. 265/40/18 doesn't work for you guys?
