Hi everyone... I'm new to MB (from Saab). I ordered a C63 AMG Affalterbach last wednesday and it got here today (it was actually already in Montreal waiting for delivery). I had a chance to sit in it and start it up.

Man what a machine... I'm still hesitating about the buy (deposit on the car only) but after today, I think I'll close the deal this week!

Can't wait to drive it for th first time!

yes LSD... you are right also about the color. The wheels are the 19 spoke 19 inchers in matte black.

To be completely honest, I'm a bit envious. With all the options I put in the car, It costed more than that edition. But in your vehicle, you get a designo paint (est. $6000), upgraded wheels and paint making it a total of about 90k+ before taxes and fees. It's always good to get free stuff, especially from MB. So in other words, the Canadians keep winning lol. Damn you Canadians and your hockey teams!

LOL I'm from Montreal so the hockey team is not that great... I know it's a good deal that MBC was able to bring that car to canada at that price... Plus I got the lucky "1 out of 30".

Anything I should know before closing the deal? I've been reading like crazy on forums and websites in the last week and can't find a serious turn off...

There is no turn off. That is a great deal. Best deal of the year! A special edition AMG for under 100k? Like omgwtfbbqlolroflmao.

It's probably the same car from the Auto show... nice car!! The only bad side of owning this color is when will come the time to repaint.

You guys convinved me... I know I want it... I know I will get it... but the little rational voice inside of me is saying "go with AWD car.... go with AWD car...".

I will go to the dealer today or tomorrow to close the deal and hopefully be able to wait until march 15th for delivery (I don't want to put winter shoes on her right away...) but I doubt I will be able. I already checked tirerack for a winter tire package!!

And FYI the one at the auto show in montreal was number 6 of 30 (I guess they will tour canada with the same car and probably use it as a press car after unless they get a good offer on it!

I could not sleep last night just thinking about the rumble of the 6.3 monster!!

You convinced me! I was reading your thread a couple of days ago when you where planning to buy and was excited when you got the beast!! Did you lease or buy? I'm thinking of leasing as I like to change car every 3 years but if it gets "collectors status???" maybe I should buy?

Not if, when. 30 cars in a limited edition. New facelift coming this year. Stil speculation of change of engine. But we can expect a change in by 2014. If I were you, I would have bought it the day I laid eyes on it.

Although a limited Edition, it will depreciate alot more than usual according to MB standards. their buyback is alot lower on a lease than C63 and a very lot lower than C class.
the dealers bought them all and I was offered two at list, $83000. i ended up ordering different colors for $13000 less.
