Wow, the car is gonna look great with those wheels. Great choice on all your parts. I am going crazy waiting for the weather to break and I was thinking about throwing my wheels on today, I can't take it anymore.

I hit a pothole the other day and have a bubble in my tire now and my car is making a right hand turn all the time now. I think I am just gonna throw the new wheels on and align it again, see how strong these Volks really are.

Thanks.

..and thanks for the bolts they look fantastic and should add a nice
touch to the wheels.

Don't remind me of potholes, it feels like I'm on a slalom course here
trying to avoid them.

I just put the wheels on, I don't know what I'm thinking but I had to do it. My car looks so plain with the stock wheels. Now I just have to avoid driving to Manhattan.

I'm waiting for my Nitto's to come, should be here next week.
I was going to wait until March but I may mount, balance and
put them on and hope we don't get any more snow.

I'm dying to take off my winter tires.

Beautiful wheels - nice touch with the pinstripe. I have an Obsidian black C63 also and plan on buying the F14's but cannot decide between the flat black or gloss black. Maybe pics of yours on the car will help me decide. Here's to an early spring for the east coast!

Thanks John.

The weather is supposed to be in the 60's by Friday and my tires
will be here this week. I may throw them on by the weekend.

Are you going to MIR Friday? It looks like they picked the best day ever for a track rental. Who would have imagined that Friday would be so nice.

This rental is out for me. I'll be in on the next Atco rental.

I can't believe the weather either - perfect for racing.

Tires are here.

I changed the fronts from NT555's to NT05's.

After a little more research I found that the NT-05's are 4lbs lighter
than the NT555's, 25lbs vs 29lbs each. Every little bit counts.

The fronts are 245/40ZR18 NT05
The rears are 285/35ZR18 NT555R drag radials.

Those tires look great. I hope they stick well for your track days.

Are you planning to run them full time? How do you think they will do in the wet?

Yes, full time duty for these. Prior to these, I use to run with
M/T's drag radials and never had a problem in the rain so I
expect these to be similar. We'll see how they do.

Don't let the tread get too low on these if you're gonna drive in the rain. These 285s will easily hydroplane and can cause a nasty fishtail before you know what happened...I got surprised on I-5 in the rain and couldn't go above 50 all the way home. Not fun...

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll definately keep a close eye on them.

Forgestar's mounted.
Here are a couple of pictures of the Forgestar's mounted and
on the car. Please excuse the filthiness of the car. I will have
better pictures when the car is properly cleaned.

Black conical bolts from RPM North

Black pinstripe

Nitto 285/35ZR18 NT555R are huge. They just fit.

Thanks, the pinstripe does looks much better in person but
yes I can see how the tire blends into it.

I'll clean the car up and take some better pics and see
how it looks.

They look great!

I just picked up my almost identical wheels (after returning the black ones I didn't like). "Almost" because mine are ET40/ET55 and don't have the pinstripe. I have Vredestein Ultrac Senssanta (245 F, 275 R). I will put them on the car this weekend.

It will be interesting to compare the look with these differing offsets & tires with photos like yours...

The F14's are great looking wheels. Are you getting black bolts
from RPM?

I'll have more photos up soon. I have an appointment for a full car
detail this Friday.

No, my car is Palladium and I think I'll prefer the chrome bolts.

Thanks.

I was so relieved when they went on and did not look too small but
man these Nitto 285/35ZR18's are wide and they just clear.
