I just went inspection center for the sticker yesterday then I got failed..
on the paper, it says 'catalyst n o2 sensor not ready..'
at that time.. the guy did inspection test told me that the car needs to be warmed up..
So I just drove about 50 miles n I went back..
but it got failed again..
then the guy told me to come back 1 day later after driving another 50 miles..
so I did it today n went back again..

HOWEVER!! it got failed again..
so he did some more test then..
he asked me "did u do anything on ur ECU?"
so I said that I did tune on my ECU w/ kleemann..
so he said that's the prbm..

to pass on this.. I need to reset the ECU n get the inspection..

is there anyone who got this same prbm so far?

That's strange.

Are you wondering whether your tune turned off your 0 2 sensors?

I don't see why a tune would do that if you don't have headers installed and/or cat delete.

Just having a tune for our cars shouldn't affect smog inspection, but I guess anything is possible.

I wish I had a better answer for you. Sorry this is happening.

The rear O2 sensors are probably turned off. They do this when you get the headers sometimes because people remove the emissions controls and a check engine light will be on that people don't want to see so they turn the rear O2's off so that the light does not come on. When you go for the inspection it will say that rear O2's are not ready. This is most likely the problem that you are having. Did you remove your cat's?

I just got Kleemann K3 tuned.. so.. the cat was replaced w/ sport cat..

That's probably it. Tune must have turned off the O2 sensors to avoid the CEL.

Do the sport cats not have a (bung?) to hook up the o2 sensors?

Sellers should let buyers be aware of what's going to happen in buyer's car. I was never told that my O2 sensors will be permanantly off when I got the K3 done. btw, is this supposed to be the right way? As far as I know, O2 sensors should not be remained off... O2 sensors should be taken away from the pipe so that it will still work fine without CEL on...

Yes. my car failed for the exact same reason. Contact Cory at Kleemann your o2 sensors are turned off. Something about early tunes they were shutting them off or if it was requested due to running catless.

After a (free) reflash all was good.

So, u mean.. do I have to do all this work(sending the ECU to cory, reset it, getting inspection test, sending the ECU to cory again, n upgrade it) every year?

No. If you have cats they will probably have a new file to turn the o2 sensors back on in a new rev K3 tune.

just noticed you were in Boston, where did you have it inspected? I had Herb Chambers stumped with this issue for a while. Didn't want to tell them I had a tune was able to sort it out never telling them and they weren't able to figure it out either.

In Quincy they prob stole your 02 sensors, not turned them off...
