Dilemma...give up the C63??
My father purchased a 2010 Panamera S last year. It only has 2,000 kms and he has just ordered a 2011 Panamera 4S to replace it. With our harsh winters in Canada he feels the 4S will be an all year vehicle. I currently drive a 2009 C63 AMG and my father is giving me the opportunity to take the S off of his hands before selling it privately. I've obviously driven them both and really enjoy what they offer. I realize they are different vehicles and this is a Mercedes forum but if you were in my position what would you do?

How much and what are your plans? If all things being equal and you don't mod, then I would take the offer. The odd thing is that I don't understand why your father didn't get the Panamera Turbo in the first place if he can afford to upgrade in such a shot time?

for me the C63 is just about the best Sedan for my needs out there. Also I think the Panamera is not as good looking a car. I would keep the C63

driving the panamera feels like driving a s-class 4-matic.
if you are old enough to drive a s-class around the city, go for it because you will get zero excitements! 100% safe!
for me, i love my c63!

The panamera is fast but it's ugly. And again it probly handles better than the 63 although it looks like a boat.

I agree, the Panamera, is not a good looking car, it looks like a cockroach, and has a ugly butt. Just my two cents. I would keep the C63 personally.

Having spent a few hours driving both cars (in stock and tuned form) I think I can say that the Panamera feels a bit quicker, a bit more nimble, etc. It's a Porsche, if that makes any sense, while the C63 is a bruising muscle car more than it is really a sportscar. If you like muscle cars, keep the C63. If you want something with a little more finesse, I think the Panamera is the only current Porsche I'd consider owning.

The down side of Panamera is the exterior looks horrible in my opinion, but you said you like the design so your question is answered. Get the Panamera, you can't compare C63's interior to the Panamera's. Panamera has an amazing interior. Plus you will have a different car than what you are driving now.
