I mean c'mon I know from posts here you've been to the track and street raced enough to already know some of the potential reasons or can at least speculate on why that might be. Are 118 traps the actual traps of both the actual cars in question or are you just pulling data ? Is this just one example? Does the CTS-V driver suck-***? Passengers in each? Heat soaked blower? Etc. Etc. I wasn't there, want to give me your speculation on why?

Or are you saying this is the norm in every stock CTS-V vs. tuned C63 encounter and this is going to happen no matter where/when these two types of cars meet up? I've only come across one C63 on the road (none at the track) and the driver was too embarrassed by the beatdown I gave him to come back up to me or pull over and talk performance with me, so I really don't have any reference point.

Get back to me when you comprehend the point OliverK is making.
I read his point and made mine....Let me know when you guys get married.

This thread keeps pulling me back to look at it like a car accident,
Additive isn’t it? But someone like you...who is "above" it all should be able to ignore it.

Huh? Such a motor doesn't exist and probably never will. You're not making any sense with this. There is nothing wrong with the cts-v being supercharged. It is what it is. Why or how can you assume what GM could or would do with engine development.

I've really tried to make it through most of this thread but this last page is just something else.

Going by car mags the ctsv traps 118. The ones I encountered were auto ctsv. One had a passenger. Other one we both had passengers. Since both had autos you can't mess up. Also it was cold out no heat soak. Its just funny how GM brags about their 556hp

I'm not biased towards either actually. I don't really care since I'm not buying either.

Thanks on the 993 compliment.

GM can produce a 7L 550bhp NA engine if they so desired. So could mercedes...and BMW, and whomever else.

I understand there is nothing wrong with the blown motor. My point was that you simply can't whine about one having the blower and the other not. Thats simply how they come...deal with it.

my bs rant in this thread was due to your ignorant comments. I've never seen gnxs post before today.

I don't love either cars looks, but agree the C63 is better looking.

I certainly am missing your point, because it doesn't make any sense.

I just want to know what the over/under is on how many pages before this thread gets locked?
Maybe we need another Forum Wars to settle this debate?

[quote=Oliverk;4525120]I've said it before and I'll say it again. Based on this forum, C63 owners seem to be mustang and camaro owners with slightly higher salaries, but about as much car knowledge and lack of self control. Are all C63 owners like this? probably not, but this forum paints a very poor picture of them.quote]

This is about testosterone, this isn't a book forum.

Find a car forum that isn't the same. I don't know why you bother when guys with CTS-Vs cruise google searches for threads on their car and come in like superheroes to protect the reputation of their car. Really, what would you expect? Like a Packer fan posting on a Viking website, a Yankee fan posting on a Red Sox forum, an M3 or CTS-V owner posting in an AMG site.

Accept it for what it is, some interesting points, some childish banter which provides entertainment...just quit the indignant holier than thou act.

They are great cars, one and all, but guys who like their AMGs really, really like them and ditto M3 guy and CTS-V guy but at the end of the day there is grudging respect for the cars...no one takes this crap personally.

Your arrogance continues to amaze me. One would think you must be the offspring of Thurston Howell III and Leona Helmsley for you to think so highly of yourself. However your self righteous attitude has never been reserved exclusively for this forum alone. You tend to sprinkle your comments like an irritant just to garnish a reaction.

And back to the LS7:

1. It has no relevance to this discussion
2. A smaller motor would not have 13% more displacement
3. As for fuel efficient, how many 4000lb cars are currently powered by this motor?
