None fast enough!
The car is running great. There were many delays along the last 5 months, however, we are near the end of the project.
Highs and lows as with any other project. However, Jim went for a ride in the beast Friday night before leaving town. Sadly there was not enough time to fight LA traffic and make the meet.
Final dyno numbers and info will be posted as soon as we all feel it is appropriate.
Please remember that this car had a number of other modifications in addition to the installing a one-off engine/SC package (including heads, cams, larger injectors, etc). Nothing was "off the shelf" for this last round of mods. A number of firsts were accomplished with this car and those will be detailed as appropriate in due time.
More info will be posted shortly. I am only posting this to stop the inevitable forum slide to everyone assuming there is something technically or mechanically wrong with the car. That is not so. Weistec will have the car to finish the tune and we will have it back after to do the final wrap up, then it will hit the strip before returning to Chicago.
Again, to simplify, the "what's up" is simply that we ran short on time and that is primarily my responsibility as I was managing the project. However, I am confident the performance of the car will speak volumes, and that will be posted shortly.
Great thanks to the team at Weistec as they have built a great power add to the 63 engines and are a pleasure to work with!
Thanks
Brad

This car does not have anything "standard" as I stated above.
Thanks
Brad
Rich, No excuses. As I explained to Jim and I posted the delays were under my watch, so the onus of responsibility falls squarely on me.
However, I do call $15-20K of damage significant, I am sure most would agree.
Thanks
Brad

Somebody should start a thread titled "what does evosport owe you?" It would be interesting to hear the truth.

In the past week i have been, e-mailed and PMed by several other people on this site and another site who have been waiting anywhere fron 4 to 6 months for misc parts from evosport. The scary part is that they said they already paid for the parts and have demanded refunds due to the excessive wait but they cant get refunds so appearently they are stringing along several customers in addition to JRCART.

I hear you but I am prepared for a ban by registering a username on at least 15 other auto forums in the past week or two. The truth will be told one way or another trust me.

However, we have worked through the issues and continue to fix them directly. We are more than apologetic for any delays and issues this has created. All we can do identify the issues and fix them.
In the last six months we have moved from 5000 sq ft. to 15,000 sq ft. and have brought on a new CFO as well as some great consultants to help us identify the hurdles and streamline the business so that we can better service our customers. The last 3 years has been brutal on our industry and we have definitely weathered the storm but have a few key issues to address!
Total thread-jack, but it is out there and we don't intend to hide from the issues.
Thanks

I can tell you that every aspect of the build that Weistec has been involved with is 100% complete and they even tied up a few of evosports loose ends as an added bonus. The body damage is repaired but the paint work looked like a Maaco job. Weistec has been entrusted to source a compitant painter to fix the mistakes made by the other painter. The car is still in Weistecs hands and will remain there I can assure everyone.

My friend I am not scared of you, others are worried to speak up? Not me.. I was not speaking to you I was speaking to other forum members hopefully they will speak up and share there experience they've had with evosport
Rich, you will not be banned unless you violate the forum rules.
Dodger, there is nothing to be scared of. As I have told you in PM, we have had long delays. Various reasons for the specific part or project.

I agree with Brad on one thing, this thread jacking has gone too far, this is my last OT post on this thead. I will be starting a new thread in the next few days...when depends entirely on a couple of monatary, insurance and legal matters that need addressing first.

Damage, just like everything is subjective within the given context. Parts are very expensive for the BS...due to the limited production, many of the small parts, clips, fasteners etc drive minor damage up to the level most would assume is "significant" simply due to the price. When in fact, the damage is only superficial. To put it into perspective, I know of a BS that had no frame or tub damage, but lots of body, motor and suspension damage. The repair bill was close to $80k and it was totaled out. The same damage on a CLK550 would have been $20k.
I agree this has gone OT and I look forward to hearing the details of this build in a separate thread.

You ever see the 15 or so entourage people following around stars and wonder what the hell they are doing following them around. I just realized I am doing that with Jim (least on the forum that is). Something is always happening around this guy and it's wild to see what is gonna happen next.
Hope you get everything worked out Jim! Back to my boring job
