Most of the track weekends we set up are with other members of Orlando Automotive Club. We meet the last Saturday of each month in Sanford for a cars n coffee deal. If you wanted to hook up one month we would be pleased to have you come join us. In August we have a private rental setup at Roebling Road but we capped it at 35 cars and we are full. However if we have any cancellations and you are interested I can shoot you a PM.

Can u give more info or a link to the event this weekend. You can pm it if you like. I may swing out there to check it out. I would like to meet up and look at your set ups. Curious to see how the C63 does around a track.

We had a great time!! Last time out(Aug 2010) I was able to squeeze a 2:37 lap time and this weekend was able to better that by five seconds. I think thats a decent improvement even though my goal was to run a 2:30 lap and I know the car can do it. Its all driver at this point. Made countless laps in the 2:34 to 2:40 times all day. Due to the number of cars in each session it was rare to find yourself uninhibited for a full lap. The following video was a clean lap with the 2:32 time.
You'll have to pick out a starting point on the end of the straight (cone or something) and come back around to that point. As you will see I just got by someone and shortly after coming around 17 came up on someone again.

I want to thank MHP (Andy), Jerry's MB Service (Jerry), Macedo MS (Larry), Josh, HHughes and entire family, Lambo Ron, Viper Matt, and Dodger63(Mike) for making this a very enjoyable weekend!! We all had a blast!!

I wanted to post this video and give an explanation. Thought you would like to see how well our cars can do against some real set up race cars.
After over three hours of sessions I had not needed to give a single point by. That alone gives you an idea of how the little C63 can perform. In the following video you will see the only two point by's I made in the middle of the last session late Sunday afternoon. The first is an all out race car vette and the second is an all out race Porsche. The vette was MUCH faster in the straights and the Porsche was faster in the corners. I held them off as long as I could but needed to give the poiunt by which I did when they caught me. Since I was able to keep the Porsche in sight and at times reel him in I really wanted to catch him. Needless to say that lead right into driving "off" the track in turn 17. When the video skips to turn 15 I have passed the red Porsche and chasing the race Porsche. Came in WAY TOO hot and couldn't make the turn so we made the corner a little longer than it should be. LOL
Enjoy:

I ran good, I started in the novice group saturday, and to be honest it wasn't good, but Sunday I got moved up to the next group, and I could stretch it a bit. This will sound funny to most but ask dads or hhughes are cars are way to fast.. We catch up to traffic real fast!! I had no clean runs were I didn't have to wait for a point by.. It was a blast!!! I'll be doing more.. I love driving fast in a control situation. Somewere we can beat the living crap out of these cars.. They love it!

Were you running the v4 tune? OT, but when you had your spare ECU VIN coded, was there any issue afterward of swapping ECUs? My dealer is worried that if I get a spare ECU and code it, then the car won't work with my v3 tune on the other ECU. I'm assuming you have two ECUs....Thanks!

Those are good times for a vehicle like that. What club did you guys run with? I really wish i was in town, i would've loved to join with my 911. It runs 2:25 there and the cup car we run runs in the low teens =)

It was HOT!
I currently do not have two ECU's with MHP tunes. I have the stock ECU and one with the V4 race tune. I can switch back and forth with no problems between those two if that helps.

I meant to take a picture after Sundays second session: miles driven 61 and mpg was 4.2. Despite a couple of issues it was a great weekend, thanks to Mike for driving all the way down i should get some video up soon. There were definitely some surprised sports car drivers out there who could not believe there was a MB logo glued to there tail corners or straight. Very friendly group I must admit and many expressed that they really enjoyed having us out there to add a little spice to things.

Two vids are up from Sunday's sessions. As Dodger stated it was VERY crowded and a bit frustrating passing an endless stream of slower traffic with almost zero open track to work with. Compared to the redline event we did there in August this was just no where near as much fun.
