Do you have the actual weight of all four mats? If so, send it my way and I'll add it to the list.

First post: How about the dumb motorized foglights that are hanging out front there in the worst place for extra weight? Anybody remove those and/or figure out something better for that space like brake cooling or something? Coming from e36 m3's this was a popular thing to do.

The fogs aren't motorized, and I think Dad's listed the weight of them in the thread about having the F1 saftey car bumper installed on his car.

Quote: Yes.

Wheel companies often weigh their wheels "bare" to show the lowest possible weight. I know the TPMS, hub-centering ring and center cap for each of my Forgestar Wheels weighed 0.175 lbs. combined. That's more than a 1/2 a pound for all 4 wheels (0.7 lbs to be exact). Every little bit counts. Look at all the guys that run titanium bolts on their 3-piece wheels.

Every little bit of weight counts a lot when it's spinning

Awesome thread btw

I would think they're pretty close in weight. Keith would know for sure.

Any Ideas on what a fully stripped race car could get down to?
The class has to use factory panals and glass but all trim, aircon etc etc can be stripped.
We can use light rims and brakes etc.

All weights from an industrial scale that normally measures 4,000+ lb pallets but it is said to be accurate when weighing smaller objects.

18x9.5 ccw c10 wheel in clear anodized finish with new hankook evo 12 275's = 50 lbs.

18x9.5 CCW C10 rear wheel with clear anodized finish = 23 lbs

OEM 19 inch rear wheel with 255 tires approx 50% tread left Continental Conti Sport Contact 3 = 51 lbs. These tires are 24 lbs new, according to TireRack.com, so the oem rear 19's are 27+ lbs.

OEM 19 inch rear wheel with 255 tires (brand tire tbd) = 51 lbs.
Lets see some pics of your CCW's.
