SLS AMG

Before some of you get in a uproar, I have already posted this in the SLS thread for our SLS AMG owners, I just thought that some of you C63 owners might be interested in this as well. If it's and AMG regardless of the model, I'm always interested.

National Geographic Channel will present the SLS AMG on Ultimate Factories, this Thursday at 10 pm. Here is the link if you are not familiar with this TV show:

Previous shows have featured the Ferrari 599, Audi R8, Porsche 911, Maserati, Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper to name a few. I don't know about you, but I'm going to watch it.

Hmm.. I have 3 tivo's... I can record 6 things at the same time.. I'm not sure if I have enough to record this.. I mean I have to record all those lifetime shows and movies, and home shopping channels all at the same time...

Okay.. kidding, this should be interesting to watch, I have seen the others, as well as some other random ones (including how Caterpillar and Peterbuilt monsters are made). Also note.. the shows are repeated 6 million times.. so if you miss it, you should be okay

Watched the show last night - Interesting exhaust manifold - still not a LT header. More of a Y design.

Interesting to know if anyones motor was assembled by the featured Tech in the show?

The AMG Tech featured in the show assembling the engine was Robert Feiler, I found his signature plate in the AMG Private Lounge.

Watched "Ultimate Factories" on The National Geographic Channel tonight. It was the "Mercedes SLS AMG" factory episode. I had not watched this show before but found it to be GREAT.

I strongly encourage you to figure out a way to catch this episode. They spend 10-15 minutes showing a guy at the AMG factory assembling a M159 which is the SLS's version of our M156. I can imagine the assembly of the M156 is done on the exact same line by the same guys and doesn't look much different.

I happened to record last weeks episode on Masarati which was good too...but not AS good IMO
