FALSE....my car was making 620rwhp on spray, two years and probably 100 nitrous passes at the strip with slicks and the transmission and rear-end is holding up just fine. I'm having a SC installed right now that will bump the rwhp and torque even higher (disconnected nitrous). I also used the nitrous on road courses and occasionally on the street as well, 620-650rwhp is well within the tolerances of these transmissions.
For example, jrcart's CLK63BS and JL_C63's C63 have different TCU tuning, different auxilliary components, and, perhaps, different/revised internals. Given that there are two known C63 transmission failures at-or-below the power levels jrcart's transmission has successfully held throughout his aggressive usage, illustrates the shortcomings in attempting to draw this parallel.
The only formal conclusion that we can draw from jrcart not having a transmission problem so far, is that the transmission in his CLK63BS appears to be very robust. That's it.

While I hope jrcart is right, just want to point out that "because I made X power and my trans is fine, yours will be fine also at X power" is a fallacy. Even if we were discussing the exact same model, which we arent.

My SC might begin to toy with the breaking point of this tranny. I'm running my original factory installed trans, torque converter and clutch packs with nearly 8000 very hard miles on them.
