Do I have to get LEDs for fog light -_-?
I was gonna change the fog light from yellow to white(5000k or 6000k)..
so I just stopped one shop to buy bulbs..
then.............
they told me..
"C63 is extreme car.. so not only engine but everything include bulb also gets hot easily.. You have to change that bulb to LEDs system since I guess u don't wanna waste ur money on bulb every month.."
I've never heard this kind of things before..
is it true? or am I just an idiot?
whole LEDs system kits were 350 n extra labor fee..
-_-;;
seriously..
should I get the LEDs?

^^^.Just installed these, and they match the headlights, and Azn Optics LED 5000k eyelid bulbs PERFECTLY!
LED fog bulbs will throw an error on your dash, if used without resistors, and do not put out much useable light.
Here is an LED replacement bulb, but will need load resistors to work..

I tried LED fog lights and didn't like it because:
1. LED projection is less than OEM, when you look at it from outside, it looks bright, but driving is not as bright.
2. I got error codes.
3. When the headlight switch is on auto, sometime the fog light will not turn on when signaling.
I went with a high quality HID system, it's brighter and had no problems.

I have the Philips Diamond Vision 5000K H7 bulbs. I also have AZN Optics eyebrow 5000K LEDs. I have the Diamond Vision bulbs in my Hi-Beams as well but no pics. Here are a couple of pics:

Yes.. bulbs get hot.. they are essentially little pieces of metal... on FIRE!!!!! (Unless you are using CFL types, then its just a gas that illuminates when you put a current through it, good for basic lighting, but does not throw very far, useless for driving or any activity outside of your house/garage).
That leaves Halogen, and HID, both of which get very hot, and both have housings designed to take the heat.. so to the OP.. whoever was trying to sell you some expensive stuff is blowing smoke out their *** (behind if the word gets filtered), as the heat from the light will have no depreciation on the performance of your vehicle.
I recommend HIDs only because they put out more light, and throw further then Halogen, however, they are significantly more expensive to replace. I have a helmet light for when I go night mountain biking that is HID, the bulb is about $150 (entire light setup around $500), compared to the $10 halogen bulbs.
LED lights are nice, but as someone else said, they have a limit to how much light they can put out when used in conjunction with standard reflectors (the mirror like cone in the light that focus's the beam). If you want to use LED's, they you need to redesign the reflector, as well as the lens to get optimal performance out of the light, unless you just want it for the looks.
