According to yahoo autos and other sites, the c63 is about 186 inches long whereas the normal c class is just under 182 inches long.

I think that measurement is after the exhaust tips warm up

I think a 6.2 liter V8 might be a little larger than a 3.0/3.5 (US Spec) V6.
But I heard the Brabus Bullit with it's 6.3 TT V12 is built on a standard C-Class Chassis.

The hood alone on a C63 is exactly three inches longer from front bumper to windshield.

Bigger front and rear bumpers, to accommodate exhausts and extra length of the V8 engine??

Yes, I believe I read somewhere that AMG had the frame extended 3 inches or so in the front for the C63 transformation. To lazy to confirm that but Im pretty sure memory serves me correctly

One of the first things that my salesman told me as soon as he showed me a C class was to point out the extra length of the bumper due to fitting oil coolers and air breathers on the side for cooling. Everything else is self explanatory and no one even mentioned but the 6.2 liter engine is significantly larger than the V6. The extra row of pistons alone makes the engine longer so there is no mistery here:

bigger cooling, bigger engine, bigger bumper.

The hood along with the front bumper is approx 4 inches longer, this was stretched to fit the V8 and the track of the car is also 1.5 inches wider I believe.

I had our C63 right next to our friends C250. There is no doubt that the car is longer and for sure has a wider front track.

If you want to get a C63, you gotta do the old radiator cap mod: Just get a C63.

Ours is my wife's driver and it is an absolute hoot to drive. While the sound system is great, it is definitely one of those cars you can drive with the windows down to hear the fabulous exhaust.

You won't be sorry.

Easily to fit the engine, rad, coolers, etc..

Ive taken a C63 apart down to the last bolt and the engine is STUFFED in there.

They could have made it longer in the front sub frame. There is also some aluminum pieces that stick out of the body that could be lengthened to put the bumper out longer.
