I'm really only posting because I wanted to give thanks to Keith/Dad's C63. He is a stand up guy and did everything he said he would. He also hooked me up with his painter which did a great job. I have my own painter but this worked out better. Keith dropped it off, picked it up, and delivered it. What more can you ask for. We need more people like him on this planet. So its because of him I feel compelled to say thank you and post some pics... Thanks Keith, it was nice meeting you as well. I look forward to the trunk

Thanks everyone, I love how it turned out... Im very impressed with the hood, Dad's, and Sanford Paint and Body. I couldnt be happier with the outcome. It's always nice meeting new friendly people that take pride in their work and reputation. Hard quality to find in people these days.

GHAZAN-Actually it was necessary It had Barolo Red fade in its prior life So not only did I want to reclear the whole hood for a fresh new look I wanted to cover the red completely. I also didnt want it to look like a Honda civic with a carbon hood dropped on it. Its subtle, but looks clean. I'll be doing the trunk in similar fashion. With my race cars I dont really care, but for a nice daily like this its hard to make decisions on whats best. Last thing I want is for it to look like a riced out beater. Im just trying to mod it tastefully so I can see the benefits on the road course but not ruin the car at the same time.

CELLryuu-I would say it's pretty much perfect. The left passenger side area above the headlight seems a tad high but I havent even adjusted it yet. I believe I can adjust it to be 100% perfect.

Looks great. At first I thought it was the new vented hood I'm looking at. Now I see it's Dad's first CF hood. Congrats

Nice....If Il get a CF hood I'll have it re-spray with a black paint but just lightly so you wont notice the CF unless you get closer...I know you have to cover the previous color before...Anyway looks really good and I was just thinking about Dad's hood yesterday...like "hmmm where's dad's hood before, is he selling it" and saw this thread just now

We need a Keith version in California

Thanks. Just need to finish my weights savings now and lower it.... Hard to get motivated to pull the suspension out of such an expensive car LOL.. Tint is finally done. So much more cozy inside I'll take better pics when I get a chance. It always amazes me how much tint changes the appearance.

Thanks everyone. Im having alot of fun with this C63. I got called out today by a JB4 tuned 135i. The little C seems to be very strong. I pulled him from the dig and multiple runs up top. Pulled every time... Sooooo happy. I need to get this thing on a vbox...

haha, you know me too well We'll see what happens. If its a 4 door then I am 100% certain I will buy one if it looks and performs as expected. If its a 2 door I really dont know... As per our discussion the reason I bailed once again on the CLK BS is the lack of back seats. Time will tell...

dodger-We havent reached that stage yet but Im confident its around the corner. He is just now starting to walk around like he owns the place

Time to get in the garage and put the 15# battery in. Suspension????

Well battery is in. I was cleaning the garage and found a few brackets for an LED tv. It looked to be a perfect piece for a bracket. Oddly enough it had predrilled bolt holes and the stock battery bracket/nut screwed right in. Talking about dumb luck. It fits nice. Just got to drill one hole in the flat bracket to keep it from potentially sliding. I may make a different flat bracket to make sure it cant slide side to side on a road course. But it is a decent start. Here is a pic. Car feels a bit lighter on its feet. We'll see if it starts in the morning LOL...
