Autobild Sachsenring track times (C63 P+)

In a recent Autobild group test they pitted the cars against each other on Sachsenring. The Panny Turbo came out as the overall winner of the test however, I thought it was noteworthy so post the track time comparison.

Pretty good showing by the Lil' C considering the cars it was up against.

Sachsenring tracktimes:

1.38,2 min - Porsche Panamera Turbo Power Kit
1.40,1 min - Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG PPP
1.40,5 min - Porsche Panamera Turbo
1.40,6 min - BMW M3 Sedan DKG Competition Package
1.41,2 min - Porsche Panamera S PDK
1.41,7 min - Cadillac CTS-V (manual)
1.42,2 min - Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG PP
1.42,8 min - BMW Alpina B7 Biturbo AWD
1.44,6 min - BMW 750i M-Pack (407 hp)
1.45,5 min - Jaguar XJ Supersport

It is incredible that the Panamera can be that good for such a heavy car.
Thumbs up to the engineer but for that price, I'd rather have a C63 for the 4 door and a 911GT3.

Nice one. I'm surprised that the C was faster than an M3 Sedan on the track.

And how is it possible that the CTS-V was slower??? On the Nurburgring it even beat the M5...

Just b/c it was faster on the ring doesn't mean it will win on every track.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
You're probably going to see this all over the M3 forums as being rigged. Their fabled M3 ZCP car can't lose to a barbaric C63. lolz

No matter what, the M3 is (for the most part) winning the C on track. But really, 99% of the owners of both M3's and C63's rarely take it to the track (this forum might be an exception, but let's not forget that all C63 owners are not members here ). Ergo, the C63 is a better car as it is a better daily drive. Nuf said

That's just it...if the M3 isn't the best on the track, which was the only thing it was better at, then what's it good for? It can't beat a JB3 modded 335 in a straight line, it can't beat a C63 in the straights. Everyday driveability goes to the C63 for it's massive low end torque. Now on the track, it can't be the C63? Now enough with the ego stroking, everyone should get what they want and just enjoy it. That's how I have always looked at it.
