Just thought it'd be fair to say that many many companies do take payment for items they don't yet possess...but DO make the customer aware of that.

The TOS for a credit card order is that you may AUTHORIZE funds (reserved for the order from the customer's credit limit), but NOT receive funds until an order ships. However, an exception is special orders, custom orders, etc... Authorizations will show up on your credit card statement, BUT the vendor has NOT receive those funds into their account. This is a point of confusion with many.

If you're paying in cash, check or paypal, the vendor may do as they wish.

Brad and Simon are stand up guys and they survived the worst recession in 70 years in a business that for the most part is discretionary money and recreational fun for most of us. They will make good because they have character and have support from business people who know that quality and character count, unlike many who want to throw them under the bus without the facts or having a dog in the fight.

Let me tell you what a tragedy is. In 2009 Chrysler Corporation agreed to settle a claim for $4 million dollars (sounds like a lot) but when you're a 34 year old female and a C3 quadriplegic after medical and cost gets you an barely enough to survive on for the rest of your life in a wheel chair. Oh, BTW, she didn't get $4 million, Chrysler declared bankruptcy and she got zero!!. Just like all the suppliers, machine shops and family business they got zero!! All nice and legal.

It's amazing how often people jump on the band wagon without knowing all the facts while defaming business with a keyboard in their parents basement. That's why the civil recoveries are so high in reputation cases.
Jimmy is out.

They must know someone that will be developing them and are taking orders without the intention of delevering them until they come out. The Big names like BMC, K&N, Pipercross have not developed anything for the SLS air filters, and somehow Evosport did?

BEWARE!
Your initial post had merit and some good points (that somewhat remain to be completely verified). However the most recent post, is removing any merit your previous post had, lose the bold, and regular size font is sufficient...

I worded it incorrectly... what I meant is that, until the item is ready to be shipped to the individual customer, the customer is not charged.

I've ordered a Vorsteiner diffuser from Evosport 2 weeks ago. I was told to put in deposit in order for Vosteiner to build it since they are out of stock. Should I be worry? Should I contact them to confirm on the order?

I remember being on srtforums and thinking "damn these people are super unprofessional about everything. Ahh, it's probably just because it's a cheap car". Then I moved to an STI and things didn't get any better "well same demographic, just older with more money". Surely, I thought, with a mercedes, people would be able to conduct themselves with a reasonable level of respectability. I guess people don't change, but the amount of money they have does.

Take that in regards to the people responding or evosport. This thread has not provided anything new past the first page.

Generally, MBWorld Staff encourages sponsors to defend themselves, unless the negative opinions include TOU violations -- insulting language, name calling insults, etc. These can and will be moderated.

Further, members chosing to copy verbatim comments made on other forums, and those who make multiple accusations across multiple threads against a sponsor here, may constitute "stalking" for the purpose of "harassment," both of which are prohibited by the TOU, and may be moderated on a case by case basis... this applies regardless of whom is being stalked. In short, civil complaining is fine, but vindictive stalking is not. Fair warning.

Finally, I will remind everyone of something I have learned through observations over many years, both as a customer, and as a merchant. It takes two to argue, and while watching from the sidelines... in every argument, there is wheat to digest, and chaff to discard.

Just because a customer has a beef with a seller doesn't mean it's so. Customers mess up products delivered in excellent shape and then try to pin it on the seller. This happens more often than you might think. Likewise, merchants sometimes run into bottlenecks in delivering products/services as well as they might like. Bottom line here is that with every argument (especially on the internet) there are always some elements of credibility and some measure of crap. Read this thread accordingly.

Evosport has always led the way in being open, forthcoming and proactive in handling complaints on this forum. Look throughout these forums over the years, and you will see this to be true. Accordingly, while Evosport founded this website, they do not need MBWorld's help to defend them.

Continue to discuss this if you want... But keep it civil. Staff is watching.

Can you unlock the thread over the Clk forum too so people allow to discuss the issue?

No. One offsite attack directed at MBWorld is enough.

I reopened this thread a day ago to give members ample opportunity to participate. However, current posts (for several hours now) have offered nothing new, and are now repetitive in nature, as they always become in threads like these.

While Staff believes in fairness, we don't believe ANY sponsor should be subjected to an open-ended, dead horse beating. Perhaps you may agree.

So, the concensus among staff is that this thread has now run it's course, and it is now CLOSED. If you have a beef with this or any sponsor, take it up with that sponsor.

Finally, it's no secret that other forums want to promote themselves at MBWorld, despite a long standing policy for years at MBWorld that members not be directed offsite to other MB forums. MBWorld is a well-established and rich environment where members can get all the answers to their questions without going elsewhere. I trust the vast majority of you agree with this.

Naturally, owners of these other forums don't agree with this policy, and some take the prohibition personally. They have resorted to several devious tactics to discredit and defame this forum and it's moderation staff. Most of the spamming is caught automatically by forum filters. But staff has been working extra diligently lately to keep this worthless junk off MBWorld. Thanks to members who help by reporting these offsite attacks to us.

As noted by members previously in this thread, this discussion started -- in part -- as a verbatim cut and paste diatribe, vindictively manufactured at one of these other forums. Members should be aware of this... an ulterior motive and agenda slyly disguised by the subject matter itself. Members are requested not to become unwitting conspirators in bringing this jealous and childish crap to MBWorld in future, as staff will look at each case individually and will react accordingly.

As always, your help in reporting suspect posts to staff ( button, lower left) will contribute to making MBWorld the friendly place it has always been.

Thanks.
