I think it's an option :P I highly doubt they'd put it on all vehicles.

I'm sure you're right, but it's still kind of like a restaurant offering to serve filet mignon doused in ketchup. If you want ketchup, get a hamburger (Audi -- and that's not a putdown, I like Audis). Plus, I wonder how many people who drive M5s gain any meaningful benefit with awd with snow tires over rwd with snow tires. Heck the M5 test videos on youtube show them slinging M5 test mules around the snowy Alps. I suppose it's a peace of mind issue.
