Quote: Just ordered; hoping v5 prevents the eyebrow flicker over time. And thanks for the great service in the past for replacements.
Have not had a single reported flickering case with these new COB SMDs

Quote: You can upgrade your low beam D1S bulb. If you want something brighter, I'd suggest the Morimoto D1S XB55 bulb. We only carry XB35 bulbs, but can have an XB55 bulb special made for you if you wish. XB55 burn brighter, but has a slightly shorter lifespan than XB35 (still about the same as your OEM). Additionally, if budget isn't an issue, we can also get you Osram Xenarc 66144 CBI which are probably the best D1S bulbs on the market. Let us know!
Excuse my ignorance and (likely) stupid questions.

I like the sound of the Osram, would these be a direct replacement? Are there any special wiring or converters required? Would these have any issues with the car throwing codes? Would the high beams need to replaced too?

Lastly, what the price of the Osram shipped to New Zealand?

Cheers.

Yes, these would be direct replacement bulbs for your OEM D1S xenons.

PM me your shipping address and I'll calculate exact shipping cost.

Philips Diamond visions are a reasonable match, but there's still bits of yellow in those. Halogen bulbs just can't reach the higher temp ranges, but those are probably the best bet if you do go that route. Otherwise, you can go with an HID solution (we offer H7 Morimoto HID conversion kit) or an LED (we offer an H7 plasma LED conversion kit).

Just wanted to say I ordered a pair of Osram Xenarc 66144 CBI, as recommended by Michael. Excellent service and fast communication to have things done as quick as possible. Having the item shipped half way across the world in 5 working days, top stuff.

Had to look up how to install these suckers, but they are pretty easy.

I took quick drive to see the difference, and WOW! They are most definitely brighter than the OEM Philips D1S. So much so, I already feel bad for people who are in front of it. I think I might need to get the alignment checked in case they are too high with the extra light....

Thanks again Michael, for putting up with my silly questions just for a pair of Osram, but very assuring you know you lights. I won't hesitate to contact you again for any lighting needs.

Sharing a pic provided by one of our customers of our new V5 194 wedge LEDs and the level of brightness the new design has with just the city lights by themselves.

Have halogen reflectors and don't want to blind oncoming traffic with an HID conversion? Good call! We also carry full line of Morimoto Bi-Xenon projector retrofit kits from FX-R stage III and IV to Morimoto Mini Stage III!

Do the retrofit projectors get installed in the low beam position? Since these are bi-xenon projectors, what happens with the original halogen high beam?

You have two options... one is you pull the power wire (I believe red) from the high beam and attach it to the bi-xenon harness which has 3 pin (low beam, high beam, ground) in which case your current low beam will just be inert. Other option is to run a high beam splitter in which case you'd have dual high beams as your OEM high beams would activate as well as the bixenon shutter control for even more high beam illumination.

@AZN Optics, How do you replace the front reading lamps under the rear view mirror? I can't seem to get the cover off. I have a '10 C63. Thanks for the help.

Front map lights need to have mirror housing disassembled unfortunately. 08-09 models had easy tab clear lens that could be removed from outside.
