Common guys, seriously, lets be a little respectful. Propain and Alqamzi, both of you guys are great members here who have contributed to this forum in huge ways. I am friends with both of you guys. Let's just be a little less steamed and be nice to one another. Hold back the insults and anger just a bit, we are all the same enthusiasts. You guys have both been on here for some time and have contributed a lot of knowledge, lets show some respect and hold back any anger or personal outbursts over some dumb stats or a race.
You guys are both great members and have learned a lot from one another from your time as senior members....please be nice and lets set good examples for the other members especially noobs.

Thank you Zeph. But your friend here needs to find his place. I asked your friend a simple question and he spun off into a internet rage. He still hasn't answered the question.
If he is going to step into a C63 forum and state a STOCK GT500 can beat a C63 with a tune + headers the least he can do is back it up with data. Instead he chose insults.

I agree that it's a bit unusual that a known-to-be stock, non-P31 C63 could walk an unknown-mods Mustang Shelby GT500 (OT, please stop calling it a Ford GT) by 4 car lengths from xx to xx(x) MPH. But, as other astute members have mentioned, the GT500 driver has to start in the right gear, and shift perfectly... which can easily explain the differential here; C63 is just stomp and go.
I don't doubt the OP... why would he lie and completely make up this story? Seems unlikely to me. Nice kill... be safe out there.

I agree. If you will look at some of my earlier post I even mention that maybe he missed a gear or something. Im not making it up. It's what happened. If I called it a "GT" i forgot to include the "500". No big deal. One thing is for sure. Once I got the jump on him he was not able to overtake. I don't believe the car (GT500) is that fast. So fast as to come from behind and overtake. Maybe a little faster stock vs stock but not by much. Maybe I will see another one on the road and he will prove something different.

At those speeds you stand a better chance. From a dig he would overtake you and you wouldn't catch up.
As I stated earlier a stock GT500 does 60-130 in 11secs or so. Not sure what year you raced. I heard the 2011's are better because they are lighter and have more HP. Not really sure what a 2011 does 60-130.
The one factor everyone always forgets is the driver. You can have the fastest car in the world and lose to a much slower car if you dont know how to drive the car your in.

Just look what C63 run with tune and headers. The C63 is quicker &faster than a Shelby GT500 stock. I am not trying to argue with you that is why I let the numbers speak on their own (just look what the C63 run with mods).
If you want to take this claims one step forward then we can go ahead and start attaching the links of car magazines that tested boths cars. I have a seen a 3.9 sec 0-60 and a 12.3@115mph run on a C63 road test done by Motortrend.
At this point we don't know if the Shelby GT500 was the first model or the newer model.
