Is CPO worth the extra $$?
Hey guys, this is my first post and let me say that I'm in love with these cars. I've tried to be satisfied with my 335i but I don't think I can resist it any longer. A local ford dealership has this car,http://greenwayford.com/used/Mercede...534f7be7d0.htm and while I find the price pretty attractive I could a get a CPO'd 09 with 25k less miles for about $6k more and possibly with the special 1.9% financing for 66 mos. I'd be greatful for any suggestions, as well as things to look out for and whatnot. Thanks in advance guys, I look forward to joining you all

Tasho is a decent deal.
CPO is worth at least 3K if you think about it. It should have new tires (if bought from dealer, worth about 1.2K) and have an extended warranty.
It will get you a better treatment at the dealer as well.

Alright so I went in to look at the silver one today, I'm really thinking about going for it. They came off their price down to $42,500 and they're giving me $25,500 for my 335i (which is only $1250 less than that I paid for it 7 months and 15k miles ago). I could probably call them tomorrow and get them to knock another 1k off the C. What do you guys think?

If you can get an extended warranty for the high mileage car and do not plan on doing too many miles, you are getting the car at a great price and locally.
If you like the car and the options, I would not try to search forever.
if no extended warranty then I would agree that you have to look elsewhere.

I searched auto trader and there's only like 4 C63's in the country for under $45k, and I'd be getting this one for $2500 less than that. Judging from what I've looked up online as far as values go I could probably drive this car around for a year or so and hardly lose any money at all when I go to sell it. I know the mileage is a little high but I don't think I'll be keeping it long enough to have any issues with that (I have really bad car OCD). Calling Mercedes about a PPI now...

FYI at the dealer auction, if that car is nice, it'll do about $39K plus fees. So $42K detailed and prepped is not a bad deal at a car dealer.
The trick is to determine if it's nice or not. PPI at benz dealer, VMI at benz dealer, and paint meter/cosmetic inspection will tell you if it's owrth buying or not.
Good luck! If you need an extended warranty, let me know.
