There was no performance package offered for 2008, only in 2009 did they start to offer it, which included, the speed delimiter, the LSD, two piece rotors and a little stiffer spring....only in 2010 did they offer the bump in HP.

The first generation M3 V8 started grenading motors at low milage with no signs of driver abuse. BMW did some reseach and had Castro develop the 10-60w specifically to solve the problem. I'm running 5-50w in the Porsche and 0-40w in the C63. They both eat a quart every thousand.
