Talked to my dealer the day before yesterday. The car had then arrived at 9:04 am to the harbor. From there (120km to here) it takes approx 10 days to organize transportation. So my baby is here next week Posting pics of the wonderful Great White (shark metaphor, not racial in any way if someone gets offended...) when it arrives! Very excited

 

Haha. You offended me. JK... I call mine White Chocolate. lol.. Anyways we are off to the races. I got my Vin today which means the vehicles is finished and ready for pick up. I jut have to wait until the tax free office transfers all the paperwork to MB and they release the car in a 5-10 days depending on when they receive it and process it. We should both have ours around the same time. I want to see pics Jycke when you get it..

Does anyone know if the piano black trim is available in the US?

 

Been a lurker for a while and finally put a deposit for a 2012 sedan today. Delivery is suppose to be sometime in Nov.

I liked the steel grey, but it is discontinued and was very curious about magnetite black, but without seeing it in person makes it a very very difficult choice.

I currently have a Obsidian Black, which looked good in person to me. It will always be a classic color, but will take more upkeep.

Is the difference cause the other car is a coupe? It is not more because you can get 2 tone colors right? I just want black inside.

My dealer has to confirm allocation for this Nov. delivery because it is supposedly the only Lighting Package left.. So I believe the options are not set in stone yet.

If I wanted p31 with lighting it will be most likely Feb. Delivery. No more p31 allocations for current build decade. Also, if I wanted P31 package, the dealer would want a 5k non refundable deposit. Unfortunately, the next MB dealer is like 3-4 hours away. Thoughts on that??

For 7 year / 100k warranty, he quoted me 5k. That seems a little high to me. He said a few weeks ago it was 4300, but they raised it ??
Any thoughts on this extended warranty????

No Budge on price at all.. Only thing I could get was Kids SL silver pedal car for my 3 yr nephew who LOVES cars to death. Listed price is $315.00 in 2011 Lifestyle collection. I think I will be able to get some other free mb t-shirt / accessories..Thoughts??

Sorry to hear your dealer is playing games with you. My dealer only wanted $1000 deposit and then didn't even cash the check because of all the allocation delays.

I don't know why the prices might be different, unless one they were different countries?

Anyone get extended warranty? Was curious about 7yr 100k for 5k

 

late_bloomer, 1k deposit seems to be the norm.
I don't know anyone getting the extended 7 year warranty.

Just got off the phone, my 2012 C63 sedan is finally built and has a VIN!

There is a ship leaving for Los Angeles tomorrow, and 2 more later this month.

We don't know what ship it will be on, so more of the waiting game!
Looks like an October delivery either way.

The closer we get, the worse the wait, is it too early to order wheels?

I can't beilieve I put my order in three months ago and still have to wait another month and 3/4 for my build date.

I've swapped out the Carbon Fiber trim on my order for Aluminum, $2500 is just too much money for a few pieces of trim.

I read some of your older threads about different leather seating in the car. I am kinda confused.. What is the difference between plain black leather and designo leather?

To my understanding ... If you upgrade to full leather it is a "designo option".. Are we able to get extended leather for the dash ?

The dealer has no idea to my questions.

I thought the car came standard with IPOD interface... What is the MIP 515 for then?? I read through the threads multiple times.. I am still confused..

 

With the interior what my dealer told me is that anything other than the black leather/cloth and all black leather it is a designo option and the build takes longer because it needs to go to the Designo shop to get finished. They offer a full Designo option set on other models but for the 2012 C-class they aren't doing it that way at launch.

Some of the designo options are available in the normal build options as the two tone interior and olive trim. I've not seen the extended leather offered in anything that I've read.

All the cars have an iPod connection standard and bluetooth audio connection. The MIP package lets you get extra features on top like text to voice on supported phones and download of contacts into COMMAND.

Thanks for the answer.. That is what I thought about leather. I wish dealer had a brochure with all options listed. I just do not want to forget an option or pay for something I will never use. I think I may cancel parktronic.. Seems rear camera should be good enough...I like the black one delivered in toronto!

enochroot, you will have yours before you know it. But I totally agree that when it gets closer and closer it gets harder and harder to wait.. Until, you get word you only have 10 days or so left before you can pick it up. Then it's easier again to wait because it's like well I can't wait another 10 days, I waited this damn long already.. lol.

On a different exhaust note, play on words, I wonder how much wider and lower the coupe looks in person than the sedan. I am curious if it's really that much more noticeable to the naked eye if you had them side by side of each other...

 

I figured you coupe owners would love to see this.. I love how the camera guy goes up to the window and asks him to rev his engine. Classic. I guess it's going to be this way for us wherever we go with our new 63's.

Gorgeous, I've said it before, the first time I saw the coupe I wasn't a fan - now I'm in love with it.

Hard to tell if that's black or magnetite black in the video, what did you order?

I've come to my final conclusion, watching videos everyday does NOT help the long wait for my car to arrive.

But I keep doing it anyways.

I ordered the magnetite black and after watching this video many times I'm convinced this is what it is. I certainly hope I'm right.

 

Do you guys know the base MSRP for the coupe? option prices too?

 

I thought it was magnetite black too, it doesn't look dark enough in many of the shots for a true black. It looks great, I ordered the same two tone interior but now have aluminum trim. I like the regular two tone wheels better, that design looks better in black than silver.

 

I've seen the base and option pricing listed but I think it was in a different thread, not sure which one though.
