2012 C63 Order Information

They told me yesterday that the car is booked for Autobild the week after next so i'm getting mine october 18th

This weekend however i'll be driving an Edition 1 C63 coupe, so that'll help
I have to drive mine under 4500 rmp and under 140km/h for 1500km. The issue is they recommend to drive on comfort which as soon as you try to rev the engine higher than 3000 it shifts and you find yourself at 140 km/h already
. I must also say you get a lot of attention in this car...may be cause it is still new but it does not go unnoticed. October 18th is just around the corner
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
My car arrived at the port of Los Angeles this morning, I could have it in my hands by this weekend.
The closer I get the worse the wait is. All of you *******s only make it worse!

my wait is nearly over! Tomorrow (thursday 13th) i will take my new C63 wagon directly from the factory in Bremen. Half a year of waiting is over! Thank you all guys for shorten the wait with my nearly daily visits in this (and other) forum.
During the time i found out some cultural differences between american (most of you i guess) and german/european drivers:
a) In germany about 2/3 of the C63 are so called t-models. I think you call it wagon. As in your countries only sedan and coupe is available you have different figures of course. But why noone of you is looking for this kind of type ?
b) In germany most drivers (as myself as well) canceled ALL type shields (C63 AMG and V8) on the back of the car and on the sides. All pics i have seen in usa there are all plates visible. Why is it so ? For me it is much more fun to drive an "understatement" car.
c) Most of you chose the PP. But in USA there is a harsh speed limit! Does it really make sense ? I odered the "drivers package" which means, there is no limitation in speed at 250 km/h but now in 280 km/h and you have to participate in a driver training. I hope the first 1500 km will be over soon so i can reall enjoy the power and speed of the car on the AUTOBAHN
See ya guys soon !!

For me I liked the coupe because 99% of the time it is just me in the car and I prefer the look of it with two doors. I don't know why wagons/avants or hatch's aren't popular here. I would have bought an Audi RS3 if they sold it here in a hearbeat!
Debadging cars here isn't a standard option, I think it can be done but you have to specifically ask for it and most dealrs don't mention it during the sale.
I got the PP because I like to go for track days so I'll definitly be using it. I agree though for street driving in the US you never get to use it properly. I think on my car right now my average speed is 27MPH.
Just picked up the car. It was worth the wait.
Thanks to everyone here for helping put the spec's together long before the dealership even knew what options were available and for providing moral support during the long wait.

I posted some terrible cell phone pictures, I'll take some better ones later.
White with black/red interior. 19" wheel option. No PP.

Looks very red in this pic since my flash was on, in person it's not so bright
Another estate

I think it's a difference in mentality when it comes to the 6.3 badges - look at it this way - the Germans think it is rude to talk about how much money you make and try to keep it a secret whereas the Americans speak openly about their income. The Germans always try to stay on the safe side and don't want the neighbours to know what car they are driving.
I personally love my 6.3 badges and wouldn't take them off.
I don't think my car would be understated without them anyway
hahaCongrats on the car again.
BTW my car is a non-PP and still goes 300km/h.
