Thanks Mort. I have a suspicion that this is going to be more than expected. I have g=had some hints from the guys at AMG and we could have a real winner on our hands with this one. Thats why I took the leap of faith.

Can't wait for this beast to be born, will definitely consider trading the C63 for it. I'm hoping for a wider front seat even though I'm only 165, I still find the C63's seat too confining, especially these cars are meant to be driven on the road most of the time. In fact I'd rather have the seats in the new Coupe or SLK.

It's most likely been asked and answered already... but. oh well... Are they really charging customers to have those things removed? If anything, shouldn't it give you some sort of discount towards the final price of the vehicle? I hope they aren't charging you specifically for taking the option NOT to have a radio or A/C...

We haven't heard much about the C63 AMG Black Series lately, but a new report is indicating the model will be unveiled later this month - possibly at the German Grand Prix.
Contrary to previous rumors, the car will reportedly adopt a 6.2-liter V8 engine with more than 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. It will likely be connected to a seven-speed 'Speedshift' MCT transmission which should enable the coupe to hit a limited top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
In addition to the usual Black Series styling tweaks, we can also expect an adjustable coilover suspension, a locking rear differential and 19-inch alloy wheels.

I just placed an order for BS yesterday at Kennedy MB, but I do not know it will be a firm order or on waiting list 'cause no one there could give me a firm answer, any advice??

I don't want to start any rumours around what this car may and may not have. Official launch is in the next few weeks so lets wait and see what drops.
Anyone trying to get an order in for one now may have to get on the waiting list for anyone that backs out of their deal in the next year or look towards MY2014 or the possible BS Sedan.

Are you sure about that? The M159 is dry sumped. Judging from the pictures, the engine doesn't seem to sit any lower in the chassis to take advantage of the smaller package to lower the center of gravity.

I have heard the same. Same engine as the SLS, not just a few internal like on the P31, the horsepower is obviously less than the SLS, but the less horsepower is due to the drivetrain power loss, the Black gets the MCT were as the SLS has the DCT. Also the same as North, there is a carbon ceramic disc option for 10K.....cant wait for North to accumulate as much info as he can, with lots of pics and videos at next weeks German F1 race and official debut of the Black Series......Barry, you better not come back to canada empty handed or we will have customs canada let you sit in a small, urine smelling cell shared with some big gay dude!!

Again, judging from the pictures, the intake runners look exactly like the ones on the M156, not M159. Dry sumping an engine has tow reasons: Making sure that all internals are perfectly lubricated at all times under heavy lateral forces and to lower the center of gravity.
