I just bought a set of 275/35ZR -18 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL, but didn't mount it yet. Several people said they didn't have rubbing issues. Make sure you take advantage of the $60 rebate: http://www.hankooktireusa.com/greatcatch2011/index.htm

275 works. I have them on my C300. I don't know if 285 would work but I think yes with no lowering.
Edit: I have my 275s on C63 AMG wheels in 18"

Just to clarify, do you currently have this setup and are having rubbing issues or you are planning to get this setup and are wondering if there will be rubbing issues? thanks.

I am running this now, I drove it once after getting them installed, and left the next day for Florida. I would feel a light rubbing when letting off the gas and again at higher speeds.

I see. I have 265's in back. I am about to replace my OEM's in front w/the 245 Hankooks as the feedback I received from several people on this forum was that they had no problem at all. Hmmn, perhaps I should leave it stock size. Hopefully someone will chime in that has the 245's up front.

Have you checked to see where the rubbing is? The tires should fit. I have the same ones on mine with no issues. You might want to look around on the car for the telltale shiny spots where the rubbing is taking place. If its an older car, maybe one of the shocks is bad letting the car squat more and rub in front, etc.
