Before I was 14 I had 3 of them running and had taught myself to weld so I could make mild steel rollcages.

At 16 my dad bought me a brand new 1969 Z28 and told me to have at it.

It should be noted my dad had a reputation with Ford Model A hotrods.... He also lost his license on the same day I did when he bet me his new Honda 450 could outrun my Z28 in a quarter mile and we got popped at 130mph drag racing the wrong way on a one way street. Fun times.

By 17 I had built two 500HP small block Chevy drag cars and I had broken through the 11 second barrier in a Nova II.

I have the itch and the resources. Money is useless if you aren't doing good or having fun with it. The P-Car people over on 6SpeedOnline know about my Merc build, its doubtful that many people here know that simultaneously to this Merc build, I have a 996TT with the motor out heading to 700HP also.

Everyday is an adventure. Live it.

Jim
Great post!

I respect your lifelong, dedicated passion for cars.

Maybe your C63 can become like the Nine Excellence 996TT (Ken Napier's car) of Porsches.

I told Peter today to go through the car system by system and eliminate any compromise made for production. Improve anything that can be improved and bling it out as long as performance isn't compromised. It should turn out to be a fun project.

Lets see where we get to with what we have and then after SEMA/CES we'll go a bit farther.

I assume you're talking cylinder pressure here, as you can not change mechanical compression ratio with a cam swap. Awesome build though, good luck with it

I'm not done investigating them but without the proper programming and increased boost pressure performance would decrease.

Did you PM me to ask why? Are you my administrative assistant? Or are you perfectly typical?

I didn't start this thread. I have a new warehouse opening in 8 days. That will be my third in CA. I have 20 apartment buildings to manage. In 8 days my wife is leaving for China for 3 weeks for her quarterly visit to our factories in China where we have hundreds of more employees. I have to carry her load in the auto parts business as well as my apartment buildings.

I'm going to be a little busy. Maybe you should worry about yourself before you make comments about things you know less than nothing about.

The build will continue. I just don't have the time to make timely updates about my car.

See, there you go.

People don't know that the C63 was my backup car. I'm a Porsche guy and I have a turbo upgrade going at exactly the same time. The 10 extra minutes I have per day to sit and think about upgrades need to go into that car. That's why I gave the Merc to Peter and James. I know both of them and I know that they will do right on the car and I don't have to mother hen this car with them involved.

People read way too much into things. Especially fan boys. A particular breed of enthusiast I have little patience with.

Cool build, please share as much as you can with us. We are hungry for real-world mod/results!

I respect someone who is into doing and less about benchracing...... you can leave that to the rest of us.

Push the envelop and let us ride your coat-tails watching the custom work, pitfalls, challenges, and results.

How many people really have a sizable budget, and knowledge, and willpower to push these cars in this fashion. I applaud your bold style, and low tolerance for BS.

Keep it up.

My man don't get all worked up, I'm no fanboy if that was to me, just seems that the few people that are actually pushing the limits, are forthcoming with info and results. The first post from James said owner wanted to remain anonymous, then you popped in with what seems like a good amount of knowledge, and obviously the resources to get some work done, then you say your ducking out almost as quick as you came in? Just seemed very typical. I/we whomever have been hearing about these superchargers for months now. And not a single run on a track 60-130 run any real true vids or anything? Your post about racing and whatnot got me a little excited and then let down as soon as you said you were not commenting anymore, excuse me if I came across in any other way.. But I've been very frustrated so far with the hype and then let down of this product!

why cant anybody just say,,hello everybody i got a stock mercedes with the m156 engine ,im putting in a supercharger from weistec and this is what happened ,showing acceleration from inside the car, very simple and then we all put an order to buy one the next day or we all see some bad numbers and can go back to life, and you JSPAMG you seem to be loaded ,why dont you just buy a brabus bullit and put in an extra supercharger and relax a little,,we all want faster cars thats all.....

I like modding cars. If I bought a Veyron, I'd be tearing it apart.

But thanks.

I love seeing the inside of this engine. Keep the pics coming.

Those MB protective sheets for the body look really cool. Wish more places used protection like that.

You will be amazed at your car after the supercharger. My CLK is a dream and the on tap power is just incredible. I totally recommend it!
