If i reset the ECU doing this....
1. Turn the igniiton key to the "on" position which is just before you crank the engine to start.
2. Press the accelerator to the floor and hold for 5 seconds.
3. Then turn the key to the off position but do not remove the key, then release the accelerator.
4. Wait at least 2 minutes, the ECU is then reset.
5. ECU is now reset and you are ready to get new rear tyres.
The ECU rest procedure only erases the adaptive transmission and throttle settings. It does not erase any of the fuel, timing or other programming
Will i lose my K1 tune? Will the reset change my shift points?

To my knowledge, the C63 does not have this reset feature that other MB models have had.
There has been some talk about disconnecting the battery to reset adaptive values. Might be worth a try.

It's not actually an ECU reset, regardless of the fact that it's come to be known as such. What you're really doing is resetting the memory module that controls transmission shift points. This procedure works on my C32 but like others have stated, I think this "hidden" feature is not available on newer models. Disconnecting your battery for 30 minutes does the same thing, however, at least on my W203, you need to reset the windows and sunroof after the battery disconnect. Hope this helps.

I do the same thing.. although it may be more of your own perspective and mind thinking it helps..
There has been no definitive answer on whether or not it works, but it also does not harm.
For the record, as others have mentioned, this (may or may not) method is for resetting the transmission shift points. There is no way to actually reset an ECU. By reset, I mean change firmwares that are installed, which is what a flash is, you are physically changing the code on the vehicles ECU, and that requires specialized equipment.

So, you're the first C63 owner that I've heard that it works for.
Maybe different MY's have this option.
