Goodbye RE11's. Hello PSS's
5 hard track days and 7,000 Klm I think the RE11's are shot. They were a GREAT combo street and track tire. They will be hard to beat.
Enter 4 new Michelin PSS's 255.35.19F 275.30.19R

Im thinking of changing my tire soon and thinking what size I should put on.
So putting on 255 front and 275 rear was no problem? No rubbing?
I have same wheel on the picture of yours and lowered with KW Clubsports.
What is the best size you think?

I don't have any issue with my stock p30 setup. I did push the Camber to -2 degrees so that did help a little. It may be close with the ClubSports. Whats the drop from stock??

regarding tread life, i am sure pss will last longer, but how about sidewall stiffness, cornering control, and dry traction?
are the 255s in the fronts good? it makes the steering feels more stable right?
i am deciding among re11, ad08, and pss...

So far so good. Only about 200Klm on them today. The 255's feel more planted and turn in is quick and predictable. (street)
Wear should be better considering the 300 Treadwear rating vs 180 on the RE11's. Sidewalls are plenty stiff in the 19" variety.
Next track day isn't until Aug 3rd. will update after that...

The last tank of the day (140 Kilometers) was on the edge a good amount of the time. Really pushed it to the limit. Good times.
Here is a link to a Vid PC V (C55) shot of a few of our last laps. He cooked his fronts in the process. He very did well keeping up!! It was a great day had by all.

I was very impressed with the Re11's. Expectations are high for the PSS's Some say the track much like the PSCups. Time will tell

This is the same setup I want to run, same 19" AMG wheels but keep debating if I should run Michelin PSS 255/265 or 255/275.
Sounds like 255/275 is going to fit perfectly.
I'm a tire geek, if you can take a quick cell phone pic of the rear it would be greatly appreciated.

255's are pretty wide for the front, especially Michelins because they run wide to begin with. Only other 255 tire ive seen mounted in the front for a C63 was the Toyo T1R tire which run pretty narrow.
Wider tires should definitely improve grip and cornering.
My Hankooks are almost done so I gotta shop around. Only thing Im worried about is rubbing since im lowered on springs, 275's would be cutting it pretty close.

C63, C300, 911TT x 3, 911 C2 x 2, 911SC, SL65, SL500, 280SL Plus some trucks
Just a note. The treadlife numbers for tires is not a standard measurement. You cannot compare one manufacturer to another on the treadlife number. They don't correlate. You can generally count on them within the same manufacturer but even that isn't always true, sometimes it only holds in a tire sub-type within that one manufacturers tire inventory.
So, theoretically, a 200 rated tire might last longer than a 300 rated tire from another company.
