The software you posted requires the additional cost of $150 for the obdii dongle, and between $30 to $50 for software. It would not be as bad had they included the software in the hardware purchase, but it does not appear that they do so.
The torque software mentioned, is for Android, although I am sure there is an iphone app that supports the same functionality that is similarly priced.
I do not have an iphone anymore so I cannot go look (and I do not have itunes installed either, and I do not feel like doing someones research for them).
The end result, is that if you want something dedicated for you car.. a cheap android device, a cheap obd dongle, and $5 software is hard to beat..
