there's an auction next week and they have a white DR520 there, it's a white one which has done 8,000k on the clock, it's on a 60plate,2010.

does anyone have any idea what this would be worth? i know brand new they were about £65k, the auctioneers state that the car was worth about £73k when it was new.

a mate of mine is looking to purchase one if the price is right, after all it is a rare model.

The DR520 designation comes mainly from the power output. Basically is like advertizing a 520 hp C63. I wouldn't worry too much, just get a tune and you should be in the same league.

Power wise maybe. However, it's 1 of 20 cars with a 60 hp performance upgrade from THE FACTORY not to mention the exterior and interior special bits unique to these 20 cars. IMO that not only carries bragging rights but additional market value.

^^^ Typically these type of specials interiors are not the cup of tea for most of us. The dealers make tons of money just by putting a plate that designates 1 of 20 cars series.
In reality, the price jump is very questionable for most of the people.

Aesthetics are obviously subjective and apparently the OP's mate appreciates the model for what it is. The dealer has nothing to do with adding a designation plate or anything for that matter as it's a factory prepared model. IIRC a fully equipped C63 w/P31, (481 hp) listed for near 80K and the DR520, (520 hp) is approx. 88K. IMO for what the DR520 offers there is no question.
