I bought a demonstrator that had Keyless Go standard - initially could not see the point of it but have not looked back since.
The LSD debate has been done to death on this forum and you will do your head in trying to unravel fact from fiction and the inherent biases of people looking to justify their own decision to go with/without the locking diff option.
What you really need to do - and not sure how easy this will be to sort out (perhaps your dealer??) - is drive 2 C63s, one with the LSD and one without? Even better try driving it blinded to which car is fitted with the locking diff and see if you can pick it when using your everyday driving style.

Promise us, that you'll take lots of photos and talk about your car, and how it handles, etc.

Thanks Jimmy,

That makes good sense.

I don't want LSD, I only go fast straight. I miss having the roar of a V8 having driven Chev V8's most of

my life. Was only looking a resale. The dealer says not required and wont increase resale. Do you have
LSD?

For the US boys. My C63 Coupe at my current specs is over $180,000 Aussie Dollars here!!!!!
We can't afford to bend them. different buyers here I'd say over 40y+

Thanks for the congrats.

Maybe 100 more sleeps.

Marty

I do not have LSD. I came from an E46 M3 (which had LSD as standard) and initially thought a car like the C63 without one was madness. I looked around for a second hand C63 and could not find any with the LSD (according to my dealer less than 10% of C63s in Australia have one). By the time I had test driven a few C63s I was not able to really notice the lack of an LSD in everyday driving (and one of my test drives was - thanks to the salesman egging me on - a very spirited one).

Yeah I just ordered my C63 Coupe last week as well.

Sept build, Oct/Nov delivery.

I did decide to get the LSD along with the P31 package. Figured what the heck. I am wondering if it is going to have the carbon fiber mirrors like the Diamond White one did in all the ads.

I am already shopping for aftermarket CF rear diffusers, new rims and tires. This could get interesting. Hopefully the wife isn't watching the bank acct!

Ordered C63 Coupe last week

Ordered my car with AMG Dev Pkg, but found out the build is delayed because of PP shortages. Anyone heard this?

Yup,

Before I bought my car in the US I had a deposit on one back in Canada. They called me about a month ago and told me that their first c63 allotment (of which I had a deposit on) was unable to have the P31 package so if I really wanted the car I was going to have to take it without the P31 or wait till Oct for a build with a Dec delivery that had a P31. I didn't like that so I cancelled my order. In the meantime I moved to the US.
When I was shopping down here and settled on a dealer, I sat with the New Car Manager and we tried to modify the C63 allotment that he had available for a Sept build. But again, he couldn't add the P31 without some internal error saying call the distribution center. He then searched allotments that already had p31 packages installed, found one in NC, called the dealer on the spot, dealer traded it for his allotment and now I have a Sept build with P31 package. It was difficult but doable.
So morale of the story, they exist, but they are hard to find at the moment. Seems as they are limiting the stock of P31s on the initial build.

That's my story.

Mid corner bumps were enough to seriously unsettle the rear. It was one of the main reasons I dumped the 335i for the RS4.
With C63's 600NM of torque, I figure the rear could probably benefit from a helping hand, on our roads at least.
BTW have you been to your dealer to see the coupe yet? They launched in Oz yesterday....
which dealership in Syd has the C63 on display? curious about the roof, is it a full glass roof?

I think he was referring to C class Coupe. Think C63 will be the same roof?

There are no C63 AMG Coupes in Sydney yet. They've just released the non AMG versions, and most dealers now have one or two to look at ( I saw them at G Brothers and Morrissons ). The sunroof on all coupe models is the same - full length panoramic tinted glass. Looks cool inside and out, and makes the interior a lot less claustrophobic for rear passengers too.

Just found out PP's not available til mid-Jan build, Feb delivery. Fortunately, I live in a cold weather state and I would be garaging the car anyway. I am going to wait.

I guess I'm lucky then....Ordered my c63 coupe with pp and cf on june 16. Initial build date was august 12 for delivery end of september then got pushed back to sept 7th for delivery end of october. (order is frozen though) There was never a question of pp being unavailable...I hope I don't get a call telling me it is delayed ...good luck

Yup I just found out my Sept build PP for Dec delivery in Australia got pushed out to 2012 delivery, but dealer tells me they have since been able to do a swap with another vehicle in the production queue to restore original Dec delivery. Sounds like PP is proving more popular than anticipated!

Mine has a 11th Oct Build Date with Dec delivery. Fingers crossed.
