c63 vs GTO
Who is this guy and why is he embarrassing us... A stock Gto should not beat a stock c63 unless the c63 driver fails. The guys on the mustang forums actually believe this video is real.

I've raced bolt on gto's and they were very close races in my stock c63. I call bs.

They're ugly cars but they've got chops and are easy to MOD. On another note, those Pontiac G8 GT sedans can be pests as well as they follow a similar formula as the C63.

There's a woman who drives a red GTO with the mods you listed above and she runs 10's at the drag strip on slicks. I saw it in a magazine a while back.

Base on the video, both cars are not traveling that fast. I think it might be an AMG poser. This is embarrassing. They need to take that video out of Youtube!

The C63 is probably stock the and GTO modded. Just like all US cars they are cheap to buy and cheap to mod and make lots of power.

I've seen her at Atco a few times during test-n-tune.
She ran 10.7 to 10.8's all day and she's a very good looking
woman too.

A stock GTO (or Monaro in Australia) will not beat a stock C63. I have raced both stock and one with a cam and tune and easily beat them both. That blue GTO must have some serious work done to the motor

Is the C63 in C mode with full ESP on?
As stated, must have something done. Does a stock GTO chirps it's tires as it shifts from 3rd gear on?

there is no way that was a stock gto... i've heard a gto that sounded just like that before and it's scary loud as you can tell in the video... it's very different from the sound our cars make... and practically all the sound you heard in the videos were of the gto, you could barely make out the c63 at all since the gto was so loud... that downshift of the gto was downright dirty!
anyway, that gto would probably beat a stock c63 imo
but there is no way i can believe that the gto is absolutely stock

I don't even know why this was brought up. Everyone knows thata C63 is a mid 12 sec car while a GTO is a low 13 car. The GTO was already tested against a STI on edmunds and the STI already took care of the GTO on the handling and braking department.
That GTO clearly has mods, you can hear the exhaust burping. I raced the 6.0 GTO at firebird(Phoenix) and I have senn them also running in Tucson(SIR) and the GTOs here trap 103-105mph stock while my AMG traps 110-111mph. GTO here in AZ run high 13 sec while I managed 12.9 sec.
This shouldn't even be an arguement.. The GTO is as heavy as the C63 but has less HP and torque.

Here in Australia those cars are literally every where and are the average revhead's car of choice. And i don't blame them, they are cheap as chips vs AMGs and provide astonishing bang for the buck1 Plusnthere are aftermkt goodies galore for them. They can sound awesome

Charger SRT-8
It's over 20 pages on SVT, it's on LS1GTO and LS1Tech.
Those that know GTOs have already identified the exhaust as not having a stock appearance and the shift intervals are insanely short.
He pulled on a tuned G8 GT like he's driving a high teen+ trap speed car.
Put him in a truly stock GTO and he won't come close to duplicating the results.

GTO was not stock, easily distinguishable by the exhaust note..
That doesn't have to be identified by anyone...If you listen you can clearly hear that it's making a engine note NO company would put out of an OEM car without it being a "performance tier" product and badged so...
Old news or not, a slightly tuned 6.0L LS2 is going to make substantial power gains...a Cam and i/h/e/ on a well maintained 6.0 will see 422 At the back wheels, putting the power production signifigantly higher than that of the c63...Which are putting out what; high 300's (read 380-390) on dynojets?
The same situation applies to the Pontiac G8. The GT model is going to get demolished destroyed etc etc.. The GXP with a replacement air filter can/will put up a reasonable fight but fall on it's face later down the road....
But like the LS2 of the GTO the 6.2L of the G8 once given some room to breath will be a new animal and will see gains in a matter almost unfair... Those engines are engineered to perform "good" and return "awesome highway" gas mileage, which is why they're often choked from 1rpm to redline...Once they can breath it's another story.
