video in motion

Gents and Ladies
I did the video in motion mod to my C63 and I cant be more pleased. I paid $160 for the unit off Ebay (World wide sounds) email Jorge @ worldwide.sounds@gmail.com.

1st I dont know much about the other units out there and I know there are a few on the forum but the prices for those units kept me out of the loop when the time to buy came around. I dont know how the other units work but this one "Daisy chains" on to you Navi unit harness and you tuck the wires away bolt it back up and your good..Just play the movie dump it in drive and enjoy nothing else to do. Everything else works fine Sat radio ipod navi fm ect.

I was so happy with thier stuff I wanted to share it with you guys.
Next trip long trip im not driving Im sitting shot gun and watching some tv lol

One more thing, When buying this item ( it was all the way in Portugal ) it took about 7 days. On the 5th I got a bit worried but Jorge made it a point to respond to all my emails quickly.

I'm using Mid-City Engineering VIM right now. I purchased it mainly so that I can program my nav when I'm driving. I know that to some it may seem frivilous, but I found that it's annoying not to be able to program my destination while I'm driving.

Have you ever tried talking to your nav unit? It's the most frustrating and annoying process. It either gets it wrong or you have to speak like you're a retard. lol I consider it $$ well spent for the lack of frustration that I have to deal with.

Not to disagree with your purpose for VIM purchase, but after a good individualization, the voice control does pretty good for me. That seems to be the trick

i have a 2009 c63 and i've been thinking about getting a VIM kit installed. Aside from the actual video in motion, are there any other things i can do with it?

i believe it'll unlock the aux video (can anyone confirm this will work on a 2009?), so i'd be able to connect maybe a computer or rpi or something? I'm not sure what kind of inputs are available, i guess RCA only?

I got my video in motion software from http://www.bimmerguru.com/mercedes_benz

No need to install any hardware or mess with wiring & its completely reversible if needed. You dont have to long press any buttons to get it working every time you start the car like ive heard other products require. No need to wait for anything to be shipped as they send you the file via email in a couple hours.

wow that looked really simple. I wish i would have seen this before i bought mine. I just installed the NAVIKS unit and it was simple enough and works perfectly but i am still playing around with the extra wires in the back of the unit to get it to fit back in.

anyone have this on a 2009 US spec c63? i'm not sure if support was recently added but i know i was researching this a while back and i thought it wasn't supported. online chat said it was, and they even ran my VIN to verify. might be giving this a try this weekend...
