Xtyper,
Spit the beans man!!! you got the whole forum eagerly waiting for the results/updates on your MHP tune. The last thing we heard from you is that you were getting your MHP tuned ECU back on Monday (delayed already from last week). Let us know man.

As for the results, I haven't had a chance to install it yet since I was stuck at work late today, but will definitely do so tomorrow. Once I get some seat time, I intend to write a full review of the new tune covering driveability, shifting, and power. I am also still planning to hit the drag strip again this Friday night at Famoso to see if I can better my last run, despite the forecasted worse DA.

And if anyone out there in SoCal (I'm in San Fernando Valley) has a Vbox and is willing to meet up so I can use it for some comparo 60-130 runs, let me know!

Thanks, that's very nice of you. What G-tech Pro model is it? Would the results I get from it be considered an "official" 60-130 measurement? The instrument I've used in the past is the Racelogic PerformanceBox that retails for $499.

BTW genius, math is universal 360 is 360 and 180 is 180, be it in the U.S or be it in the Middle East.
Are you retarded or something?

You have to do a baseline dyno run (stock) and another with just the tune. I would be curious to see your results. RET in Downey is always a good option if you cant find one near you.....good luck.

Exactly the route I intend to take. Thanks for the referral, but I actually have an independent dyno shop local to me I like to use, called Specialty Z. Now that some cool weather has set in, I will try to get over there this week for some baseline pulls. Stay tuned.

Why do You need the VIN code to the new ecu? Could you just keep an oem ecu and have a second ecu with tune?

The ecu has to be paired to the vehicle and it can only be done by a dealer or an authorized service center with access to the MB server. There are some serious issues with several "spare" ecu's not be able to start the car after being tuned so I would stay away from the idea right now.
