I see you've driven the GT-R lol. I too was surprised when I first drove it how quickly I got bored with the car.

You can get a used Boxster Spyder for undr $60k. That would be my pick. It has great steering feel, fantastic handling and a nice sounding engine.

Ferrari F355 or 360 Modena.

You can swing a clean 1995-1999 F355 for $60K or a 2000 360 Modena with moderate to high miles for $60-80K.

For a fun weekend car that you can track, there is NOTHING that can compare to the total experience of having one of these cars.

Keep in mind, F355 though eternally beautiful and the most awesome sound you have ever heard from a motorcar, can be a real maintenance hog-if not cared for. $60K is only your ante to play.

360 Modenas are not quite as beautiful, in my opinion, similar performance as an F355, but not as much of a maintenance hog. Plus you get the visible engine through the glass. Now how cool is that.

It will be a life-changer if you get one of these cars, like no other marque out there, bar none (check GTR, ZO6, Exige, Viper). As Ferris Beuller once said, or how I can paraphrase,"If you have the means, I highly recommend picking up one of these."

Depends a lot on whether you want it to be street legal or not. If your goal is to be the fastest driver at the DE, then $60,000 will build you an incredible EVO that will walk away from all the stock versions of the more expensive cars mentioned.

If its dual purpose, a used Boxster Spyder/ Cayman R would be fun but expensive with the wear items. The Boss 302 Laguna Seca would also be a blast and somewhat collectable as well.
