Have you sent in your V1 for an update recently? Mine does the same, but my buddy recently sent his and they replaced the entire unit and he now doesn't get nearly as many false pings. I believe it is around $200.

I had a V1 bought end of last year, latest version and it annoyed the _@*_@&&# out of me with false alerts. Put it in the wifes car because she didnt mind.

I got a passport max2 and it has a lot less falses but still some of these cars set it off.

I sold my V1, it was too chatty for me. If you set custom sweeps, etc., you can really hone it into a much quieter device. I learned about it after I sold it
