Cat delete vs Resonator delete
-Would you notice a change in tone and volume?
-How much gain?
-Which would be better? (primary cat delete vs. resonator delete[straightpipe vs xpipe])
Why would you only delete the primaries?
If your doing that might as well delete both primaries and 2ndaries.
Go with 2ndary cat delete (X pipe) and resonator delete (straight pipe).

I've done this in my car as well. Kind of raspy, really really loud when you stand on it. but quiet for normal driving. If akrapovik wasn't 3300 for just mufflers I'd love to go that route as I think that would take the rasp out.

Also, how will it affect the primary cat. They are designed to clean and remove certain particles fromt eh exhaust, there is obviously a reason for the secondary, what that is I do not know, a guess would be so that it gets the last bit of crappy emissions out of the exhaust to pass emissions tests.

I did both after listening to sound clips of one or the other and the sound wasn't much different than stock. I only wanted to do this once so just went all or nothing with it.
I couldn't see the point in the $600 or $800 they charge for the "special" C63 x-pipe.
Here's a couple vids I took last month, I'm happy with the sound so far

you will not get a cel from removing the secondary cats they are not monitored.
I have no idea about a retune can't really see why you're just allowing the air to pass through the exhaust with less restrictions. you're not adding any air in so not sure why a retune would be required.
