New big fin diffuser

Skokkosis thanks for the detailed pictures and info. I personally don't like how the tips are covered but the quality looks outstanding. Seems as if most diffusers on ebay have some sort of issue with quality or fitment. From my observations AMG's vorsteiner diffuser is the best looking and fitment and the Revozport diffuser also look as if they fit well.

Looks pretty good, my only concern would be the tips heating and therefore changing the color or the CF or melting the inside part. So I guess modifying the tips are your solution.
Waiting for some daytime pictures. Thanks, for keeping us posted!

Just tell the muffler shop exactly how you want the tips mounted and I'm sure they can do it for you.

i don't know if it's possible, being that the tips just barely avoid the top of the cutout sections, so they would still stay tucked in and all that would do is just guarantee that the tips will never brush up against the diffuser, such as when expanded

The diffuser looks good, but it sure is a tight fit with the tips... a little too tight for comfort. I'm afraid after you extend the tip, it will look a bit too low. I would just shave the diffuser a bit for better clearance.

you're right... that's why i don't know what to do with this darn thing... shave off how? the top just so it clears contact with the tips? then my tips are still in the same spot closed in

@skokkosis: Thanks for taking the risk and trying the diffuser out but don't take this the wrong way. Imo the outter tip looks ok but the inner is too close to the diff from what I can see in the day pics. It looks much better at night though. I would see if maybe you could have a shop try to fix the diffuser. Please don't touch the tips because it won't be worth it imo.
On another note, those 2012 lights really suit your car and it looks amazing. Try to fix the diffuser or just go with another one completely. You might want to also tell the seller of this issue and see if they can maybe help rectify the problem for you, you never know....

no offense taken skycap! the other night when I wrapped up the install I was so beat, it looked like the tips just had to be extended, but in the day after inspecting the whole thing it's flaws are what you exactly noted, inside tips are too close, the route I've taken is yours, I have made my decision to return this one (speaking w/ the seller as of now, he's pushing to excuses I'll copy the convo for you guys a little later) and then purchase a new one, don't know which yet... i'll see, love the akrym, but too much money for their cf one, and the only decent ones out at the moment for the price are jl-motorings, has anyone heard of any issues w/ their diffusers, b/c they just put up a big fin spoiler, a few days after i grabbed this one off eBay, the fins are large, but somewhat smooth edged where the one from eBay looks so agressive b/c of it's sharp angled fins, thanks about the 12 tails comment, i love them! look much cleaner than -11

According to the seller you purchased from this is the same diffuser http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380321466...ht_3853wt_1165 yet the picture of it on the car is different to the pictures uninstalled. On the car the surround around exhaust outlets is smaller and doesn't cover the tips. It's very misleading

exactly, i even tried helping the seller out, i told him at his price... his fitment was amazing.. all he needs to do is redesign the cutout sections... he's taking it back, i will show you guys the messages once i clear up everything with him, but he is trying to make excuses... sigh.

If he gets it right he would sell a lot more. I wonder if they actually know there is an issue with them hence the low price. There is 3 different sellers selling the same product. The factory style carbon fibre diffuser from the same seller shown earlier in this thread looks perfect.

that's what amazed me! and made me buy too, how do you perfect the oem one... this shows that all the design is right, but fault in the one you beef up? if the lip around the exhaust cutout area wasnt as bold, it may be perfect, perhaps they made it too bulky and havent tested out an 63's yet?
