Bravo Jycke--the car is awesome looking and equipped properly IMO
Now, at first read, I thought WTF that is weird, I'd never let the dealer "keep" my new car as a demo car and then pic it up at a later date.
But after reading everything about the scenario, it's no different than buying a Pre-owned one like so many members have done here. Jycke is able to save big money and basically guaranty the specs of the pre-owned car he wants, seems fine by me. How many guys who bought used can say they built the car exactly how the wanted--that's what I thought.
As a spoiled American, I enjoy buying my cars brand new and couldn't do what Jycke is doing here, but I get it.
Who in their right mind would pay over $200k for a new c63, just sayin
BTW, look around guys, how many test drives was your wife or g/f taken for before you got her, rrrigghht, that's what I thought
Don't let her tell you they were all "highway miles"
Stop the hatin'--different strokes folks.
Sweet ride Jycke

One of those songs you just cant shut off. Id love to know what they are saying if you can translate. I hear its just sounds though and not really words.
Either way, no hate at all. I understand the scenario now. I thought you paid for it and then let the dealer break it in during the winter. Now I see you will save a lot of money and get the car with very little miles on it. Sounds like a good way to save some money and get exactly what you want.

Ur an idiot. I'm getting mine and thrown winter tires and rims on. I even told the dealer that I want to be in the passenger seat when they take it put for the preliminary checks on the car. **** dealers you cannot trust them. The lost important time on the car is the first 1600km. If I was you I would get the extended warranty for sure.
Don't be calling anyone idiot. the guy is still shelling out 110000 EURO for this car, I can get two C63s in North America for that much. He can purchase an SLS here for that price. Don't be so paranoid with the dealer, that is what warranty is for.
Congrats Jycke, a shrew deal if you ask me. car is being winterized now and you'll have it ready to go in the spring!

Oh my
you should go back and read my thread again cuz i'm not selling anything for $900 . i know you want to increase your little post count since you are the "newbie" here , but you should try posting some positive things and maybe you would be able to get help or others things when you need them . you post these little negative things on here and then pm me with the exact same thing you put here . didn't your momma ever tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say , then don't say it . now let's get back to the topic at hand......

What about if something breaks on it? Engine troubles ect? What about an accident? Do you reserve the right to not take delivery or are you contracted into the car? Without a contract they could hand the keys over to anyone.

Trust me, won't happen. It's for show only, not for sale. There will be no price sticker on it, because it is reserved (and basically sold) to me already...if you understand what i mean. If something breaks down during their ownership, they pay for it, if it breaks down during mine, i still have extended warranty, so they pay for it.

Mercedes C63 amg, Bmw X5,
$241k to be more exact. This would get you an SL black series in the United States. I think these differences are outrageous..just a thought.

The way I see it, the man will be saving 60 thousand euro which is almost $90k or so. That is a butt load of cash if you ask me.

Exactly, as long as he is okay with it, congrats to the guy! If someone were to say to me that I can have a C200 right now or a C63 the way he is doing it...I'll go his route.

Very nice wagon OP! Wish they sent that our way.
To the few ragging him, he is getting a 30 percent discount for waiting a few months and circa 1500 miles on the car.
Let's put a US twist on this...
Would I buy a 2012 C63 Coupe, which is 4 months old with 1500 miles on it, never titled for 45.5K?
Hell yes.

Very odd scenario. I don't understand the whole "The dealer will break it in" but and good luck.

no offense but I just dont see how/why the dealer would rather hold the car make less off it holding it for you then letting someone walk threw the door and paying sticker i get the whole reason your doing it but i just dont get why the dealer would rather take a hit like that? anyway good luck
