I don't know what's so complicated about understanding this deal!
The car will be sold as "used" thus depreciation occurs on the vehicle and no extra "new car" tax is paid. I'm no expert on the tax code in Finland, but I don't have to be, this same scenario would work in the states if you did it (minus any extra tax they levy on cars in Finland)
You guys need better accountants
Bravo Jycke!

My accountant would have explained it a bit better than... "My car is here but no point in driving it in the winter so the dealer is going to break it in for me"
A simple, I'm going to buy this CPO after the dealer is done with it but I was able to customize it would have sufficed.
Ill attribute it to a difference in cultures and move on from here. Again, good luck with it. It sure it a sweet car.

So, took her out today again (a blast ). I can report that the MCT is awesome. Super fast downshifts (in contrary to at least my E63's speedshift). Kinda fun also to drive in downtown traffic with the distronic. Didn't brake once :P I took some pictures that i'm gonna upload later on. I apologize for the dirty car in advance..if anyone has any angles they'd like a picture of, answer here. Car goes back ( ) tomorrow..

Yeah all good so far! Apart from Lane Assist warning lights that are defective due to I hope the MB Dealer putting on the carbon fibre mirror housings at dealership as these could not be fitted at the factory.

No, not yet. The car has 1300 km on it (approx 1000 miles) and it needs 1500. Besides the ground's been wet due to heavy rain so it wouldn't do much good anyways. I'll see how it works next time

And that's kinda weird...they got mine installed just fine :/ Did the dealer forget to put it in the original order..? No matter, as long as they get it fixed asap Glad to year you've been happy with it.

Seems that i'm unable to edit my first post. Well, here are the pictures in a more user friendly format (no link and scrolling through pictures).
Some new pics, and i apologize for the dirty car.
Please don't start another flame war :P Only wanna share these estate pics since i reckon there aren't gonna be that many around here.
And since pics don't seem to work (at least for me) here they are http://imageshack.us/g/710/img2772p.jpg/

Bravo Jycke--the car is awesome looking and equipped properly IMO
Now, at first read, I thought WTF that is weird, I'd never let the dealer "keep" my new car as a demo car and then pic it up at a later date.
But after reading everything about the scenario, it's no different than buying a Pre-owned one like so many members have done here. Jycke is able to save big money and basically guaranty the specs of the pre-owned car he wants, seems fine by me. How many guys who bought used can say they built the car exactly how the wanted--that's what I thought.
As a spoiled American, I enjoy buying my cars brand new and couldn't do what Jycke is doing here, but I get it.
Who in their right mind would pay over $200k for a new c63, just sayin
BTW, look around guys, how many test drives was your wife or g/f taken for before you got her, rrrigghht, that's what I thought
Don't let her tell you they were all "highway miles"
Stop the hatin'--different strokes folks.
Sweet ride Jycke
