2012 C63 w/P30 Brakes, diff P30 vs P31
I'm confused.
Which brake package is preferred for performance on the track, the P30 or P31?
In Canada the Performance pkg includes the P30 and no option to get the P31.

As far as I know brake wise both the P30 and P31 are the same. However the P30 did came with AMG suspensions which was removed for the P31. So mechanically P30 is better for the track but it lacks the official ECU tune for the 481 hp, which is an easy fix with all those tunes out there.

P31 has the better engine. Forged pistons, lighter con rods, revised crankshaft.
Mechanically the P30 is better. LSD, compound braking system, AMG track calibrated suspension. (P31 also has compound braking system)
Personally I'd buy a P31 and throw in some KW coilovers and a Quaife LSD.

Very nice, I guess APX is the best of both worlds. In the US we don't have that and we are stuck with P31. However, I guess this was our fault since too many people complained about the harsh ride for the P30 back then due to the suspension upgrade, and this is why MBUSA removed it when they design the P31...

I read people commenting on 2012 delivery cars in Canada with APX saying it comes with P31. The dealer ordering info reads P30.
